How do I cut down on window draftiness?
If your old windows need replacing but you need to make it through the winter first, seal them up tight for best results. Caulk the gaps well, then seal the window using a window insulation kit with plastic film and a hair dryer. Add fabric threshold snakes along the bottom for extra warmth. Finally, trap and warm the air around the windows with blackout curtains or heavy drapes. Replace the windows as soon as possible.

What are good wintertime DIY projects?
In colder climates, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, a chilly day might be a good time to rake leaves or give the mulch in the garden a stir. An afternoon organizing the garage, shed, or basement will pay off when spring comes. If your tools and gardening supplies are all set, tackle cleaning the rest of the house. Get out the cleaning supplies and cleaning tools, then give everything a good scrub.

How do I prepare for snow and freezing temps?
When you live in an area where snow is possible, it's smart to upgrade or organize your snow removal tool kit before a winter storm hits. Check that the snow blower is working and accessible, then oil up the snow shovels. Don't forget to get out the sleds for the kids, and prep ice melt or salt and a salt spreader. Make sure your outdoor taps are drained and covered, too, with all hoses disconnected. Basic preparations like these keep you ready for whatever winter weather hits your area.

Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?
Our free Kids Workshops take place in-store every first Saturday of the month between 9am and noon. Registration for workshops is now available online. Great Customer Service
we had a special order tube to be picked up, before we are out the door to get the truck here comes the tube ready to load. Great help in loading. Left my cell in the cart, found Hugo who helped with the tube and located the tube after he had clocked out for the day. Great Customer Service

              GREATEST EMPLOYEE AT PRO DESK-NORMA
WE HAD MANY ITEMS TO PURCHASE AND IT WAS A PRO DESK JOB. LUCKILY, I CALLED AHEAD AND SPOKE TO NORMA MEZA. WE HAD TO GO WAY DOWN TO WINDSOR SINCE THE UKIAH STORE WOULD NOT HELP US!! SHE EVEN STAYED LATE BECAUSE SHE HAS INTEGRITY AND KNOWLEDGE AND IT WAS NOT SOMETHING SHE COULD JUST PUT OFF ON ANYONE AS IT WAS A COMPLEX ORDER. CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HER AND WE EVEN WERE OFFERED WATER BY ANOTHER PRO PERSON BECAUSE IT WAS HOURS LONG IN FIGURING OUT SUBSTITUTES, ETC. NORMA WAS PLEASANT WHEN IT WAS DIFFICULT, POLITE AND KNOWLEDGE PLUS! WE LOVE NORMA MEZA, SHE SHOULD BE TEACHING OTHER HD EMPLOYEES EVERYWHERE ON CUSTOMER SERVICE! 10 STARS TO NORMA MEZA AT THE PRO DESK!! SHE NEEDS TO BE IN CORPORATE AT THE VERY LEAST!

                Three Exceptional Employees
I went in to Home Depot for a generator rental to cover a project from a scheduled PG&E outage. When I got there the rental space was closed. Three employees -- Yovanna, Alex, and Durrell -- totally came through and saved the day. They are Superstars! Thank you!

                  The BEST employees!
This store has an incredible staff that always make me feel welcome. I am not the handiest person and they are always willing to take their time to help you through a new project or help you if you make a major ordering error like I did. Just amazing service all around! Trinidad and Tom are the best!

Mike is awesome, this store had a temporary inventory problem that was a inconvenience for me. Later on once that item became available Mike made it up to me with a discount. Very appreciative. Thank you!
