The Home Depot Rental Center at Yakima

Begin your next home improvement job with confidence and the correct tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Yakima Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the tools you don't have on hand. You can rent the tools you need and bring them back when the job is done. In fact, if you found the tools so useful that you didn't want to return them, inquire about buying our retired rental tools. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.

Make Painting Easier with Rental Ladders and Scaffolding
Make the most of long summer mornings and paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage fast and renew surfaces. Scaffolding rentals help you reach elevated locations when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to work.

Tame the Bushes and Lawn
Keep up with summer growth with outdoor power equipment rentals. Neaten the yard with a lawn mower rental and the driveway and sidewalks with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed in no time.

Load 'N Go Trucks
If you'd like to rent a tool but lack the room in your car to transport it, let us help with that, too. Check out our Load 'N Go rentals and rent a truck. Stop taking up room in the driveway with an old pickup truck for times you need to move something. Just rent a moving truck and keep your driveway open for grilling or a game of catch.

How do I rent a moving truck or tool?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which trucks or tools you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You may also read our truck rental or tool rental pages to see if what you need is available at your store. For more information on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent a tool by the hour?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and major projects are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When can I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a week?

Rent a moving van or truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the terms and conditions before you select a truck.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
