Q:I am looking for a black plastic screw cover to cover a 5/16 in. head of a wood screw. Will these covers work? Thank you.

Answer This Question

A:  The #2 Flat Head Phillips Black Screw Cover is approximately 0.5 in. and should cover a wood screw with a 5/16 in. head diameter.

Q:It says "#2 flat head Phillips" and has only one useless product picture that's not even real. It is a CG rendition that might as well be an ink spot!! Use a camera for once or maybe have your manufacturer provide some photos or media. This could have been a sale, and about 20 other items could have, if there was more INFORMATION! IN EITHER WORDS or PHOTOS.

A:  The underside of the screw cover has a “cross” that fits snuggly into the Phillips Drive of a flat head screw.

A:  These are forced into the screw hole to cover the screw.

A:  There is a slight point on the underside of the screw cover. Simply press the point of the screw cover into the drive slot of screw. A slight tapping by a hammer may be needed for some screws.

A:  yes, they stay put onto place by pushing onto the screw

A:  The cross shape on back presses into screw head. Friction fit. I hope this helps!

Q:God do you get these out of the screw hole

          Answer This Question

A:  Hi jayne, Thanks for visiting our site! These Screw Covers are made of plastic and are flat, as you know. Because they are plastic, they are relatively soft, so you can gently pry the edge with a thin, sharp edge like that of a razor blade in a box cutter. An exacto knife will also work. If that is not possible, pierce the plastic cap and pry it out. This will damage the cap, however. Thank you for asking, -Travis

I like the way they look, if there are screws showing on any surface these covers will keep them from looking obvious. You can easily push them with your thumb or use a rubber hammer to put them into place. They look nice and they blend in with black objects such as furniture. They are also easy to take off, just pull them off and you are done. There are many sizes to choose from so be sure you get the right one for your project.

          They Would Look Good If.......
They would look good if they would stay put. I used 4 covers on top of 4 #2 Philips screws (identical screws) and 3 of them keep falling off while the 4th barely stays on.
