Thigpen Contemporary Stripes Gray 8 ft. Round Rug

Use a clothing steamer, it will relax the fibers and the rug will lay flat. MIke

Hi there! Thanks so much for your question. It’s normal for a rug to have creases or wrinkles after being folded for shipping. To help it lay flat, try rolling it in the opposite direction of the folds and securing it for a few hours. You can also place heavy objects, like books or furniture, on the creased areas to weigh them down. Hanging the rug over a railing or banister can let gravity help smooth it out. Using a rug pad underneath will not only reduce creases but also add cushioning and prevent slipping. Sometimes, all it takes is a little time and regular foot traffic for the rug to settle naturally. If the creases are still noticeable after a few days, a professional steam cleaning can help relax the fibers further.

The rug you're referring to is described as a 3 ft. x 10 ft. runner. However, the specifications listed under the product details indicate a width of 29 inches (which is equal to 2 feet and 5 inches), and a length of 113 inches (which is equal to 9 feet and 5 inches). It appears there might be a discrepancy between the advertised dimensions and the actual product size.

There are a few possible reasons why your two rugs might appear significantly different in color, even though they are supposed to be the same: * **Dye Lot Variations:** Rugs are often produced in batches called dye lots. Slight variations in the dye mixture can occur between different dye lots, leading to noticeable color differences between rugs, even if they are nominally the same color. This is a common occurrence with textiles. * **Lighting Conditions:** The lighting in the room where you placed each rug can significantly affect how the color appears. Natural daylight versus artificial light, as well as the intensity and color temperature of the light bulbs, can all influence color perception. * **Surrounding Decor:** The colors of your walls, furniture, and other decor can also influence how the rug color is perceived. A rug placed in a room with light-colored walls and furnishings might appear darker than the same rug in a room with darker decor. * **Individual Perception:** Color perception can also vary slightly from person to person. What one person perceives as "extremely light," another might see as less so. If you're looking to order a larger size, it's a good idea to order it at the same time as any other rugs you need to minimize the chances of dye lot variations. You could also consider ordering a small swatch or sample of the rug in the larger size to confirm the color before committing to a full-sized rug.

Yes, it is suitable for high-traffic areas like living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchens. This is confirmed in the product highlights.
