Always been a fan of top load washers, LG brings great wash performance, time-saving, and-energy-saving innovations to the classic top load washer design. Thanks to the LG Direct Drive Motor rotating independently from the tub mechanism, they can spin in different directions and create a powerful water flow. That means an enhanced but gentler clean with more room to do laundry in fewer loads.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out about running a Spin‑Only cycle on your LG WT7100CW washer — we understand how useful it is to remove excess water without starting a full wash. Yes, this model does support Spin‑Only. Here’s the quickest way to use it: • Press Power (do not select a wash cycle) • Press and hold the Spin button for 3 seconds • Choose your preferred spin speed • Press Start/Pause to begin For guidance, here’s the official LG manual for your washer: • https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-WT7100CW.ABWEUUS?tab=1 If you need further assistance, feel free to email lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. ‑LG Digital Care Team ^Rich
Hi, Gary. We understand your inquiry regarding the maintenance and cleaning for your LG WT7100CW top load washer. To clean the inside drum, we recommend running the Tub Clean cycle with a commercially available tub cleaner or a mix of water and bleach to remove any residue or buildup from the agitator and wash plate. To maintain the overall performance of your WT7100CW, you should periodically remove and rinse the detergent dispenser drawer and wipe down the lid and top edge of the drum with a soft cloth to prevent mold or odor development. You can find more detailed cleaning instructions and a maintenance schedule for your washer at https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-top-load-washer-cleaning-and-maintenance-guide--20152385368911. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com if you need further assistance on inquiries and questions. ^James
Hi Ada, we appreciate you reaching out, and we understand wanting the jingle and cycle tones working again on your WT7100CW. This model does have a Signal option, but it’s not printed on the main knob—it’s accessed through the Options buttons. One helpful step is pressing and holding the Signal button for 3 seconds to toggle the chime back on. If the tones still don’t play, unplugging the washer for 30 seconds can reset the control board and restore sound. You can review the full model details here: https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-wt7100cw-top-load-washer If you need further assistance, feel free to email lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. ‑LG Digital Care Team ^Rich
Hi there. Grit in your LG top-load washer tub can be caused by mineral deposits from hard water or even leftover detergent residue. We recommend checking the water for hard water and the drain filter for debris. We also recommend running a tub clean cycle. Check out these tips here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-washer-how-to-clean-the-tub-of-your-lg-washing-machine--20150635948425. Hello, Paul091952. The manual for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.0 cu. Ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer with TurboDrum™ Technology, Model # WT7150CW, and for other LG Top Load and Front Load Washers instructs that the power outlet must be within 60 inches (1.5 m) of either side of the washer. of either side of the washer so you can plug the washer into a dedicated, properly grounded 3-wire receptacle. We do not have any cautions or recommendations about using a surge protector with our washers. You can plug a washing machine into a surge protector, but the capacity of both the protector and the washing machine will determine this. Not every surge protector can handle the load of your washing machine, so you have to select a compatible surge protector based on its specific ratings. A general rule of thumb is not to use surge protectors for high-powered appliances such as your washing machine. But using a surge protector safeguards your washing machine against unpredictable electrical surges, so the decision to use one is entirely at your discretion...^Ivan.
Hey there! For the WT7150CW and other washing machines, we don’t recommend using a surge protector. It’s best to plug the washer directly into a grounded 3-prong wall outlet. Surge protectors and power strips are generally designed for low-wattage devices and can overheat when used with larger appliances like washers, which could lead to safety concerns. To protect your appliances, you might consider a whole-house surge protector, GFCI outlets, or simply unplugging during severe storms. ^ Diego
Hey Tracy. The LG WT7100CW top-load washer is designed to be energy- and water-efficient, as it is ENERGY STAR qualified, meaning it exceeds federal energy and water conservation standards. This washer has sensors that determine the weight of the laundry and how much water needs to be added for every wash. Every load is unique and does not use the same amount of water. For more questions, private message us on social media @LGUSSupport. We're always happy to help! ^David
Hello, Tracy Ann. The LG 4.5 cu. Ft. Top Load Washer, Model # WT7100CW, automatically adjusts the water level to the type and size of your load. Unlike older Top Load washers that had a fixed water consumption for each wash cycle, on this washer, when you press the Start/Pause button to begin a wash cycle, the lid locks, and the washer agitates briefly without water to measure the weight of the load to determine how much water to use for the load size...^Ivan.
Hello, Tina Rae. Like any other washing machine, the drain hose for the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 4.5 cu. Ft. Top Load Washer, Model # WT7100CW, is designed to expel dirty water after the wash cycle is completed. If there is any lint in the wash water, that will also be expelled through the drain hose along with the water. Ivan.
Hello, LadyDuchess. The LG 4.5 cu. Ft. Top-load washer, Model # WT7100CW, has a maximum fill line, and clothes should fit loosely under it. Loading clothes over the fill line may result in damage to clothing and the washer. Do not press down on items while stacking them in the tub. Load clothes loosely, and do not overfill the tub. Clothes need room to circulate in order to get clean...^Ivan.
