    A:  The item itself is very strong but the limiting element will be the two screws that attach it to the wall or cabinet. It is designed to be held by two #12 or 1/4" diameter fasteners. If you can use machine screws and tighten it up really good then it will carry more load than if you just have to hang it on two screws like a picture or something similar. The attached image shows you the back side and what you have to work with.
