Q:Assuming I have a drain valve inside, I still wonder if that connection will start leaking over the years(pex-a freezing/defrosting)

Answer This Question

A:  When installed correctly, Apollo PEX-A fittings, pipe, and fasteners carry a 25-year warranty. Assuming the connection is installed correct, there should be no leaks at all. For further questions, please give us a call at 888-229-2874.

A:  If you use the correct PEX tubing to match the shut off valve size, and you crimp it correctly, it will never leak at the crimp. The tubing will expand and contract with the weather. Google PEX tubing for specifications if you need to.

Image does not match what I bought in store
this isn't the original reason I came to write the review, but the one that i bought (image attached), matches the SKU on this page, but the body style looks like the Pex-A version of SKU 1003-221-570. The real reason i came to write the review is that the valve handle is too close to the threads (of the valve i bought, which is different than the main image). It will interfere on the large style garden hose couplings (made for easy hand tightening). only most basic hex coupling will work.

Not as shown in the picture
Ordered this online & shipped to home, but - similar to the other reviewer - also received the cheaper valve that looks like the APXSCV1234 instead, which makes the handle collide with the garden hose, and which has a smaller face plate. The attached label suggests that it is the EPXSCV1234 though, so I suspect that they may have gotten mislabeled in the factory?
