About This Product

The Apollo ExpansionPEX 3/4 in. Bronze Double Union PEX-A Water Pressure Regulator with Gauge sets a new standard in water pressure regulation. It is designed to reduce incoming water pressures to a safe level to protect plumbing fixtures and appliances. With simple adjustability and an instant read, color-coded dial to provide downstream pressure measurement, this valve solves all of the annoyances of pressure regulators from the past. It also assists in the control of pressure surges from entering the structure from the water main to further protect fixtures and appliances. Excessive high pressure within a plumbing system can cause damage over time. A pressure regulator should be installed after the main line to help protect plumbing. Featuring a superior flow rate, durable bronze construction, and fitted with Apollo ExpansionPEX brass barb unions, the 36ELF can be easily integrated into any cold-expansion PEX-A piping system.

Answer This Question

A:  Yes it can be removed. I would suggest researching "How to remove PEX-A fitting" and watch a couple of videos before doing so.

A:  Send Ben with Apollo an email at ben@mosackgroup.com. We'll be happy to send you the Install, Operation, and Maintenance manual. If it checks out that the PRV is still malfunctioning after proper install, and is being operated correctly, we'll be happy to send you a replacement free of charge.

Misleading specs on the box is only real flaw
The unsatisfied DIYers giving one star reviews here likely bought and tried to install the wrong version of this device on their existing PEX system, unaware that 3/4” PEX-A is **not the same** as 3/4” PEX-B! Know the difference, or ask for assistance from someone who does. The display box gives the impression that the enclosed device works on BOTH systems… and that is NOT the case! The dimensions are different, as are the brass barb designs on the nipples which fit into the PEX pipes.

          busted around the knob
When we turned the water back on after installing the knob blew off shot water everywhere in the crawl. Would not reccomend. Not to mention this 3/4 pex fit doesnt fit 3/4 pex. Doesnt even fit into 1inch pex.

Planned to move PRV from crawlspace to closet for easier access. I chose this valve specifically for the fact that it was PEX-A ready. Once pipe and connectors were attached, it fit perfectly between studs in the closet that it will reside in. Threw a little access door and it worked out better than I expected.

Device was a bit longer than old one replacing. Slight modifications and it's installed. Love the gauge on the device. So far, so good. Time will tell if it's made with lasting components.
