Product Details

The Armor Door Exterior Series comes ready to be installed with a welded steel frame. It comes complete with hardware and a weather seal kit which includes a top cap, weather stripping, threshold and a door shoe. The welded frame is compatible with wall thickness of 4 7/8 in. and can be used with new built masonry and drywall construction when the wall is being built. Installation instructions and warranty information can be downloaded at your convenience in the Info and Guides section.
  • Manufactured with commercial grade steel and frame to provide long lasting durability
  • Product is supplied with 1.75 in. thick door and 5.75 in. thick frame for a 4.875 in. wall thickness
  • Commercial grade hardware for long lasting durability
  • Frame is supplied with combination anchors for either masonry or drywall applications where the wall must be built around the frame
  • Door frame is compatible with wall thickness of 4 7/8 in. thick and can be used with new masonry and drywall construction when the wall is being built
  • For better thermal value, a polystyrene core (insulated) is available to upgrade on select options
  • Multiple hardware options are available for the consumers needs, including Exit Device with Re-Entry Trim, Passage Set with Deadbolt, Entrance Lever and Exit Device with no Re-Entry Trim
  • Heavy duty surface mounted closers are available as an option
  • Includes door, frame, hardware and weather seal kit
  • 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty

    A:  Hello Mill, Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. According to the "Product Details" tab, the "Armor Door 36 in. x 80 in. Fire-Rated Gray Right-Hand Flush Steel Prehung Commercial Door with Welded Frame, Deadlock and Hardware" contains a prehung feature, which includes the frame.           The hole for the door handle wasn't drilled to accommodate the door handle it came with. The door hand sold with the door requires a larger hole then the door came with, which meant the installers had to start drilling holes to make it fit. Either it needs to have a bigger hole or a different handle. Took the installers way longer and we still need to make sure it shuts well. Terrible.

            installed without any problem into an existing frame put 2x4's inside the frame before placing it...
            installed without any problem into an existing frame put 2x4's inside the frame before placing it in the frame and put 4 inch lag bolts into the existing 2x6 frame worked perfectly.
