The ceiling tiles themselves look nice and are fairly easy to work with. The composite material could be a bit more robust, chips and breaks apart if not careful. I needed to replace about half of what I ordered due to damaged box and product from shipping bands. (see picture) With that being said, Home Depot customer service was excellent in replacing with new product.

Bought these during an upgrade/remodeling project to our basement. After 32 years it was time for a remake to our basement. I had previously installed the cheaper 2’x4’ panels, but wanted a nicer look this time, but was not willing to spend the kind of $ they want for the fancier tiles. As others have mentioned I looked CLOSELY at the cartons when I went to pick up the order of 6 packs of 10 panels and found that someone had hit the bottom box on the pallet with a forklift damaging at least 3 panels. HD agreed to replace them if I needed them BEFORE I left the store. I had calculated I would have about 4 left over so it could be an issue. I used the damaged ones 1st where I had to cut a panel working around the damaged spots. I’m almost done and it’s going to be close on the count. My experiences with cutting the panels: -Have plenty of NEW razor knife blades on hand! When the blade begins to dull it will drag through the panel damaging the face vs cutting it cleanly so be sure to swap out the blades! Not the time to get cheap. -Plan your cut edges to be against a far wall or in a corner where they’re not as likely to be seen. The cut edges are NOT white, but grey and will stand out if cut poorly or in line of sight. You could shoot them with some white spray paint before put in place, but it takes a LOT or paint because it soaks so much up and that’s going to really slow you down. -Have a firm, flat service that will support the entire panel when cutting them. They break/mar easily. -I used either a framing square or drywall T square for my straight edges. Try to keep the “good” edge underneath the straight edge. It’ll help keep from damaging the face when cutting. -Make sure your hands are CLEAN when you start! After cutting a few your hands will be dust covered and in turn protect the panel surfaces. If you’re sweating (I wasn’t) be sure not to drip on the panel nor handle them with sweaty hands. -I found it necessary to wear a mask because no matter how clean I kept things I found myself coughing during and afterwards on the fine dust from cutting panels. -Wear eye protection otherwise you’ll be forever cleaning your eyes. I even wear glasses and had a real issue since I spent so much time looking up underneath when getting them in place. So far I’m very pleased with the tiles and how they look. They provide a nice look without breaking the bank.

I like the product but had to get it shipped twice due to damage to the tiles. There was no damage to the box, only the tiles. Even after getting it shipped twice, I still have damaged tiles that I am having to work around. I hope I have enough good ones to finish.
