    A:  Hello, Thanks for your question. These are 1/2-inch rivets. In the description, "long" refers to the 1/2-inch. 1/8 inch is the diameter. This can be confusing, we know. Refer to the photo for the accurate length. Thanks for contacting us. -- Your Arrow Fastener team

      A:  From what I understand, the 1/2" pertains to the depth of the material the rivet is securing whereas the 1/8" pertains to the size of the hole the rivet is going through. This hasn't been explained elsewhere but I had to look at a few videos on YouTube.

        A:  Hey Ricco, Arrow’s aluminum rivets should fasten your steel gutters just as well as steel rivets would. In fact, the aluminum rivets should not rust like steel rivets eventually would. And Arrow's aluminum rivets come in white finish, as well as unpainted. One tip we'd give would be to touch up the drilled holes in the steel gutter with paint before fastening with aluminum rivets to help deter the exposed steel from rusting prematurely; you could also spray 2 layers of clear coat to the exposed steel to help with this.
