Q:My wall sconces says to install a 60 Watt bulb.I want LED bulbs to increase the brightness for reading. Can I install a 75 replacement dimmable bulb ? or should I only install a 60 Watt replacement bulb ?

A:  Yes....as long as it will fit. LED's Use significantly less watts. This LED bulb uses 8 watts to achieve the light output of a 75 Watt bulb. Your Wall Sconce says to use a 60 watt bulb as it is using the old incandescent equivalent.

    A:  a sixty watt incandescent bulb burns 48+ watts producing heat. A very small amount of the energy produces light. I am no familiar with this brand, but the LED bulb should produce significantly less heat as it in only a 7 watt light bulb.
