Does this unit have the ability to vent out of the top into a duct? Why is it different or better...
Asked by CS January 6, 2019Venting out is probably preferred to recirculating because the filters recommended are $100 (to be changed 3-6 months). The filter does not come with the original purchase. The vent hood is just under 5 inches high. If you are replacing and older vent or microwave, you'll need to consider what the exposed wall will look like. Fortunately I was able to cover up 1/2 inch of exposed wall with matching cabinet trim.
Question: Does this require an electrical outlet or should just the wires be connected? My quest...

Can it be plugged into a wall socket? Any other wiring required?

Can the halogen lamps be replaced with LED bulbs?

Per the Use and Care Guide for model DUH30252UC: Replace Lights: halogen lamp (Models DUH30252UC DUH36252UC Only) • Remove the damaged light (twist counter clockwise) and replace with a new 120 Volt, 50 Watt (maximum) 50° halogen light made for a GU10 base, suitable for use in open luminarie. If you would still like to replace the lamps with LED, please contact our Customer Supoort Team at 1-800-944-2904.
Do I need to purchase anything else to make this ductless.
