The BrassCraft dishwasher connector kit adjusts to multiple diameters to connect most dishwasher drain hoses to a brass or plastic sink drain branch or garbage disposal. Rubber connector has a 1 in. O.D. connection to the drain hose and either a 5/8 in. or 3/4 in. O.D. connection the drain tailpiece or garbage disposal. The kit includes a rubber inlet connector and (4) steel, screw-type hose clamps with locking nuts.

This would be the second one of these I bought, but I was able to use "3/4 in. x 1/2 in. Schedule 40 PVC 90-Degree Reducing Elbow" for $0.90 and reuse my stretched out connector again. This time by clamping to the PVC which is hard enough to hold the clamping force.
The problem with this connector and its predecessor is that it is made from rubber which is too soft. Attaching a dishwasher hose to the correct-sized step is all very easy, but the thing heats up when the dishwasher empties; and the hose clamp has limited travel; so you can't get it tight enough that it won't eventually slip off there and fill your expensive under-sink cabinet with water. It needs to be made from elastomeric PVC or silicone with enough hardness to clamp against yet pliable to make a seal. Also, these clamps are cheap with little travel which only works against a hard fitting.
I cut mine down, so it was just a 3/4" coupler and let the PVC reducer do the work. The clamps in the picture were from my first attempt to fix where I just needed more clamp travel. It worked like that for a couple of years and the rubber is in fine shape. A good piece, but could be better.

We needed something to connect our washing machine drain hose to the sewer pipe line. After much searching we found this. It was perfect as we were able to choose the size we needed and cut off the smaller sections. Thrilled to be back to being able to use the washer without drain water leaking onto the cellar floor!

Connected two different OD sized hoses but hose clamps are worthless
The connector allowed me to jury-rig together two different sized hoses to fix a leak in the washing machine hose, which I couldn't replace directly. However, the hose clamps that come with it are cheap and poorly designed and don't provide uniform pressure around the hose. If you buy the product, do yourself a favor and buy stainless steel hose clamps that have combination hex and slot heads on them, to allow you to use a socket wrench to tighten them. You will only need one or two, not four as shown. Just be sure you don't get ones that are too big or too small for the diameter sizes you trim to. Much easier than trying to use a screwdriver in hard-to-reach places.

It serves it's purpose for extension drain line on a dishwasher or for when a garbage disposal is added and you need the larger 5/8" opening. Good product lasts a long time.

Just what I needed, and at a good price too. I installed a new Bosch dishwasher that came with both a supply and a drain hose, But I wanted an air gap as we'd experienced our old dishwasher drawing back dirty water from the disposal. The air gap installation required two new tubing connections and this device worked perfectly (I used some Teflon paste to ensure good seals under the clamps). I recommend an air gap and use of these connectors as required.

Waste of Money
The box lists three sizes - 5/8", 3/4", and 1'. If you need the larger size, you simply cut off the smaller. I needed the 3/4", cut off the 5/8" and discovered that the 3/4" was actually 7/8". It did not fit, and no amount of clamping is going to seal a 7/8" rubber boot against a 3/4" fitting.
This product is either mislabeled or defective. And now I have to try to return it after cutting the 5/8" end off.
