A beautifully finished solid pine French door.
I kid you not I have never installed a door in my life.
but I managed to hang it ...watched a YouTube video few times.!
I actually sawed off 6" inches from the bottom of the door,
in order for it to fit into my utility room.
Contrary to expert advise the door is still very solid despite cutting off
6" from the bottom.
Really changed the surrounding area with the beauty of this door. see my picture..
Excellent value for money.

The brand/price in the store was different but that's ok.
Really like this door and with a light sanding, primer then 2 coats of white semi gloss came out great.
Very happy with this and, the install and removal of the protective film on each pane of glass was easy.

The house I just purchased had a contractor grade standard door separating my entry foyer from the stairs leading down into my basement. Until I got accustomed to the house, I kept confusing the space as a closet and it really annoyed me. I vowed then to replace the door with something more formal looking to compliment the space and showcase the basement... which I have big plans for turning into my man-space.
In order to accomplish that dream, I purchased this product and I am very glad I did. It's a quality product that has a professional look beyond the price point its sold at. It is far superior to the standard door it replaced and I actually received several compliments from friends who really liked the way it accents my foyer.
Because this is a slab, you will need to cut openings for a doorknob and hinges. I used the Ryobi template (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-Wood-Metal-Door-Lock-Installation-Kit-A99DLK4/205209873) for the doorknob and then a chisel for the hinges.
Now that it's finished and properly hung, it looks fantastic, was easy to paint, and actually simple to install. It really sets the space apart and I highly recommend it as an easy upgrade to a solid door.

The french doors replaced a sliding glass door. So very rich looking & functional ... You can open fully & have approx 70" clearance to move anything in or out ~ very attractive from inside & outside. What a great upgrade ~ We hope to get a few more sets to replace 2 other sliding glass doors.

If you need to cut
We'd like to replace a door (30X78) between kitchen and family room, so hired a contractor to install. We bought a door at Homedepot because Lowes has a similar French Slab door, but it won't be able to cut the bottom.

Door shrunk and warped after being hung and painted.
Door shrunk and warped ~1" after being hung, primed and painted with two coats of paint. Having paid a carpenter to hang it and a painter to paint it this has NOT been a good experience!
