AnswersI'm not sure what kinds of wood are used. There were some oak pieces used as the drawer sides, some veneered pieces, and solid wood was used for the framing and top. I don't think this would match your blonde oak, but might blend in well, in any case. Mine turned out to be the same color as the picture.

The finished product looks like the pictures and meets our needs for extra counter, drawer and cupboard space. Construction and materials are sound, delivery was prompt, and pickup was easy. These points prevent me from giving it five stars:
- It was VERY time-consuming to assemble.
- The top was not sanded as smooth as it should have been.

I love this cart, I’ve had it for about 4 weeks now. I put it together in about 2 hours. I use the lower cabinet for 2 liters, water bottles and 12 ounce cans. I use the top shelf for some of my pots and pans with 2 lids. The drawer is big enough for my grilling utensils, thermometers and other goodies. I keep a fruit bowl on the top. The drop leaf is great for get togethers, the whole top adds more than 6 square feet of space. I use the spice rack for all my grilling spices. The top shelf on the spice rack is short so I’m going to lower the shelf about 4 inches or so to accommodate taller bottles(hot sauces). It wheels around real smooth and easily.

Fantastic quality. Putting it together was fine as all predrilled holes were perfect, everything there and materials and instructions high quality. Hardware nice. I want to buy another cart for our trailer kitchen. Fantastic increase of work space.
Only comment about unexpected is that color is lighter and more varied than photos on site. Not bad but it is not as consistent and honey colored. Looks more like unfinished wood with some oil. Still love it thought and works in our kitchen this way also. Thanks for a great, useful, pretty product!

I bought it for additional storage and like the fact it had wheels and can be moved for cleaning. Seems a relatively sturdy product, but I am keeping it to one level of canned goods.
Reading the instructions the first time can be daunting. It took me 6 hours to assemble. I had fun making it as a project with my dad. It brought back memories of when I was a child and my father taught me to be organized and methodical in assembly. I'm a visual person so it helped me to assemble and then screw :) 99% of the instructions are accurate and the pre-drill holes are accurate.

This island was exactly what I wanted it to be. Extra counter top space, extra storage room and drop leaf allows for a couple extra places to sit as well. It could not have been easier to put together, very detailed instructions and not one leftover part! It's sturdy and well worth the money. I've had about a month now with no negative issue whatsoever. It totally met my expectations for the price.

First, the manufacturer ships this in two separate boxes (Home Depot only listed box "1 of 1"), so be sure to get both boxes before assembling the unit. Also, check to make sure all the parts and pieces arrive in the two boxes - use the enclosed item list and check off each part as you find it (ours was missing a key part; however, the manufacturer shipped it the day after we notified them). The unit itself is made of mostly smooth-finish plywood and a butcher-block top (all oiled). Not counting having to wait 4 days for the missing part to arrive, it took several hours to assemble all the pieces into the finished unit. The instructions are mostly clear and easy to follow; however, there were some screws that didn't match the instructions (but still worked okay). The only two 'bad' things about it are (1) the top drawer sticks, because it's too tight between the sides, and (2) the shelves are held up with only small metal pins extending about 1/2" out from the inside panels ( a couple of the pins kept falling out when the unit was rolled, so I glued them in place). This means you can't put much weight on the shelves. Other than that, we have a 75 lb. meat grinder sitting on top and the unit wheels easily around out kitchen.

Upon receipt of the Kitchen Island, I spread the pieces out on the floor and realized it was going to take some time to put it together. Quality wood product, sturdy wheels, metal wheeled drawer tracking, and a well made product. My wife absolutely loves it. I really like the drawer feature, but the 4 door front seems to be a bit much because it doesn't allow for large items to be placed in there without a little struggle. Small items fit quite nicely. I will say that after the Kitchen Island was assembled, it is quite a nice addition to the new kitchen. The weight of the island definitely contributes to it's stability.
