A:  Thickness of the copper. Type L is thicker than M. L is most commonly used for residential plumbing. M can be used in some areas, but not all.

      Answer This Question

A:  Our product is manufactured in the USA and is produced in compliance with the applicable chemical and mechanical properties of ASTM standards while being NSF / ANSI Standard 61 certified. To the best of our knowledge, there are no differences or advantages between products. I hope this helps!

Q:Can this pipe be cut in store?

          Answer This Question

A:  If you are looking for a shorter length, Home Depot carries our product in both 2 foot and 5 foot lengths. As for cutting the 10 foot product in store, you will need to contact a store associate.

          by|Jun 8, 2022

A:  The short answer is no. However, if you’re pleasant enough and find a willing associate they will cut it for you using a pipe cutter. Obviously it won’t be returnable once cut. You could also buy your own cutter and be a DOER!

Q:Will this type of copper oxidize to a green/blue patina?

              Answer This Question

A:  you need to rub it daily

              by|Oct 4, 2022

A:  No, in my experience it just oxidizes to a dull brown

                by|Apr 27, 2022

A:  Since our copper is 99.9% pure, it will oxidize over time. As for turning patina, it will take many years to reach that color if the product is exposed to the proper elements. I hope this helps answer your question.

A:  Yes, over time when left outdoors.  If you wish a particular patina there are solutions you can purchase to create the patina you wish to achieve.  Patinas are used by stained glass shops and that is where you can purchase these solutions.

                    by|Apr 21, 2022

A:  Yes it does turn green. Not all the time. You can clean it with bleach if it's. Already soldered

DIY Shower Rod, Towel Rod, and Toilet paper Holder
I used the pipe to make a shower rod, towel rod, and toilet paper holder for the guest bathroom. It was easy to cut with either a hacksaw or manual miter saw. I sprayed the pipe with apple cider vinegar to remove the shiny new look and give it a more aged look; then, I applied clear nail polish to keep the aged look.
