Opening my garage door was Just one “Click” away
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The universal garage door remote by Chamberlain is a great item. It was easy to install and configure. Within minutes I was clicking away opening my garage door. Chamberlain products are always reliable and easy to use and learn.

            Slimline universal garage remote control
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stylish garage door remote control, not boring rectangle with 2-3 buttons. This garage remote is universal remote to control up to 2 garage door openers. Instructions list 11 different garage door opener brands, but it also includes additional brands such as LiftMaster, Do-It-Master Mechanic, Rayner, True Value and Sears Craftsman which are also compatible with Chamberlain technology. Programming is a little complicated, having to press remote control button up to 11 times depending on the garage door opener brand. You only need to do this once for each garage door opener, so is not a big deal. Once programmed it has long range. I could open my garage door from around the corner, a lot further than standard garage door opener. Remote Control is primarily matt black with shiny black buttons and bright blue led to show that button has been pressed.

Great little remote, but could be smaller
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little remote. The steel insert and black color scheme give it an upscale feel. It functions as expected offering two buttons versus the three button versions that came with my opener. It would be nice if it were smaller or more compact, as its larger than my three-button version.

A Lot of Convenience In a Small Package
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a two and a half stall garage with one eighteen foot door and one opener. However, I also have three cars and a great next door neighbor, who let's me use their garage for four nights a week and full time for five months in the winter and spring. So the "Clicker" was the perfect solution to having to juggle multiple remotes because it has two buttons for two door and fits perfectly in your pant pockets taking up less room than your car keys. It was so easy to set up too as it is compatible with most major brands of openers. I'm 72 and retired and I'm also not fond of climbing ladders, if I don't have to. With this device and convenient "learn buttons" on my door openers it was very easy to program. My house has a six month old new generation opener, whereas my neighbor's is sixteen years old and a slightly different technology. No problem! I just followed the directions and ten minutes later I had the ability to open either door from the "Clicker." When we travel, I just give the Clicker to another neighbor, so that he can check on both houses for us, when necessary while we are gone. This is the perfect device if you have two garage doors, or a second house or cottage too. Oh, and the range is amazing (actually better than my built-in openers in my cars) I can open my doors before I even get in sight of them (probably 4-500 feet away). You can't go wrong with the "Clicker."

Anyone with a garage needs at least one of these!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whether your old clicker died, or you have a 2nd or 3rd car, or a motorcycle, or family member, the list goes on and on, everyone needs to have at least a few remotes for a garage door. Having a 3rd car myself I really needed one of these! It was super easy to pair with my garage door opener and from there it does what it needs to do....Open and Close the garage! The range was also very impressive and beats out my other remotes easily. All in all a great remote that I would recommend to anyone looking for an easy to use garage door opener remote!

Fast an easy programming plus 2 Tips for success
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my universal Chamberlain two button garage door remote faster than I expected. The programming directions are straightforward but it’s easy to mess up. Take a few simple steps to ensure success. Tip#1 Clearly mark on the remote which button you will use for your left door and your right door taking into consideration the view either from the inside of the garage or the outside. Marking the buttons will help prevent unintentionally programmed both doors with one button. If you mess up and need to start over, clear the codes on both of your garage door motors. In my case two Lift Master motors with red buttons from 1999 Tip #2 Pressing and holding the red button on the garage door motor for seven seconds until the LED light goes out clears all controllers. I simply started over following the directions more closely, I didn’t mix up my buttons and the remote has worked flawlessly. I tested the distance at which the remote works my driveway is approximately 200 feet long the garage opener works at that range just fine. Thank you Chamberlin

                      Failed with two doors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two different LiftMaster garage door openers. This remote opens and closes both simultaneously regardless of which remote button I push. I started to program the first one with the garage door open (my error), but have reprogrammed it along with the other opener which was programmed properly. I am disappointed in this two button opener because I had hope it would operate both my garage doors independently.
Response from TSC Social Team Sep 14, 2021
We are so sorry to hear about your experience with the remotes. There is an easy fix for this, it sounds like the remotes got programmed to the same button. To resolve this, work on one unit at a time, it may be best to unplug one opener at a time to make sure they do not over lap signals. While working on one opener, clear the memory on the opener and re-program the remote, one at a time if you have multiple remotes. Ensuring to test each remote after programming to make sure the remote is functioning properly. Once one opener is programmed, move on to the second opener, making sure you are unplugging the 1st opener first to ensure they do not overlap programming. Clear the memory on the second opener and begin to program the remote to the second opener. To erase memory locate the LEARN button on the garage door opener. Press and hold the LEARN button on the door control until the LED turns off (approximately 6 seconds). All previous codes are now erased. Reprogram each remote control and keypad you wish to use. If you need assistance with your opener or any questions or concerns, please contact us at 800-528-9131. We are available M-F, 5am-6pm, MST, and on Saturday 7am-4pm, MST. We would be happy to help! Thank you!
                        Good Clicker With Excellent Range
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I paired this remote with my two Chamberlain door openers - both openers are more recent Chamberlain models (under 3 years old); however, this clicker should pair with most makes and models of door openers manufactured in 1993 or later. Here are my impressions: 1) PAIRING PROCESS: Easily accomplished by pushing the "pair" button on your door opener, followed by pressing the remote key once to achieve pairing. On newer openers (not just Chamberlain but other brands as well), you'll know that pairing was successful when the opener's lights blink a couple times. In some more recent Chamberlain models, the "pair" button on the opener is actually underneath the wall-mounted switch. This makes pairing a whole lot faster! Typically, garage door openers made in 1993 or later will have some sort of pairing button on the opener housing, and the process is identical - push the pair button and then push the remote control button to which you want to assign the opener. Mine paired immediately. 2) RANGE: This remote claims a range of up to 800 feet. To test this, I walked about two football fields away from my house (600 feet or so), and the buttons I assigned to both of my doors successfully opened them from that range after one press. In this case, I had "line of sight" to my doors. To test more realistic use, I attempted to open my doors while in my truck and approaching my house while driving in my neighborhood. The garage is on the opposite side of the house from where I approach it when driving up, so the signal had to pass through the house itself as well as my truck. In this case, I found that this remote consistently opened both doors after one "click" when about 300 feet away. When 400 feet or so away, I found that sometimes multiple clicks were required to reach the openers. So overall, in real life use cases, you can count on about a football field of range using this remote. 3) BUILD QUALITY: Good overall; the entire case is made of plastic but it seems durable and should withstand years of use. Notably, this is billed as a "stainless steel" opener, but it isn't actually stainless steel. The bottom half of the opener has a cover that is also made of plastic but it has a stainless steel "finish" to it. From the looks of it, it's a graphic printed onto the plastic cover. Either way this isn't a big design element for me but it's something different from a run-of-the-mill black opener, and it would match car/truck interiors with aluminum interior design elements. This faux stainless steel cover slides off to reveal a programming button underneath. I believe this is for pairing with older model door openers. The cover slides off with moderate force to access this button. The clicker buttons themselves have a nice feel to them...you get good tactile feedback when you depress the button and you know for sure that you've pushed it, unlike some cheaper remotes that have a cheap plastic-y click to them. I get the sense that this will last longer after years of button use. And lastly, Chamberlain fixed a complaint I had about previous remotes with their metal visor clip...in previous remotes, the metal clip tended to be loose, so when you slid it onto your car visor the remote would slide off the clip. This clip is very secure and stayed firmly in place when putting it on my visor. 4) BATTERY: As I just received this remote I can't comment on battery life, but the remote takes a standard CR2032 battery that you can find at any drug store or grocery store. You have to pry open the entire case to access the battery, and I found this a bit difficult and required a flat head screwdriver to get it apart. But since you'll only have to do this every couple years, this isn't a worry. Overall, 5/5 with this remote control, and I recommend it to anyone with a 1993+ door opener who is looking for good range and above-average build quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to program. If you live in a gated community the great convenience of having only one remote that controls not only my garage but also our community gate . Less hassle of fumbling for which remote do I use for what.

                            Door opener for two doors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This garage door opener remote is known as the Clicker. It has two buttons and that's all. It is so simple but very useful. I have it programmed to open my own garage door, and also my son's garage door. I have to open his garage door quite often for one reason or another while he is at work. Programming takes about 10 seconds. Push the yellow learn button on your opener, the yellow learn button will be solid on for 30 seconds, push and hold the button on the clicker that you want to program for that door. Release the button when garage door opener light flashes. It can be done in seconds. I like it.
