Answer

Hi RZ - I have included instructions for programming this remote. 1. Start with your garage door closed. 2. Press and hold bottom button on the remote control until the blue LED stays solid (approximately 10 seconds) then release the button. 3. Press and release the Program/LEARN button on you garage door opener. 4. On the remote control, press and release the button that you would like to program twice. The blue LED will blink for up to 60 seconds. 5. As soon as the garage door begins to open, press and release either of the buttons on the remote to exit program mode and complete programming.

Customer review from Chamberlain-DIY.com logo
At our home we have a garage and a pole barn. They currently have different garage door operators. The garage has a newer chamberlain with myQ (awesome). The pole barn has an older model of a different brand. The Keychain remote is great for around the house when going between both buildings. The Keychain remote programmed in about 10 seconds to the chamberlain but, it took several minutes to program the other opener. The online support was able to help me get it programmed. The biggest downfall to the keychain remote is that it is bulky. I was hoping to keep it on my keychain with my regular keys. I found it was larger than my car key. It was bulky in my pocket. I ended up placing it on its own ring. It is still handy to just grab that ring when I need to go around the property, I was just hoping it could stay with me all the time. I would recommend the keychain remote for anyone that doesn't want to carry a visor remote with them everywhere they go. It is easy and simple to use.

This is a quality built remote that is a huge improvement over older units. Set up was easy programmed from the opener unit and it works as expected. the buttons are small and takes some getting used to. My experience when trying to use the fob by feel only was pushing the wrong button.

This is a nicely built fob remote that is a huge improvement over the previous fob I had. Set up was easy and it works as expected. The only quibble I have is that the button is small and takes some getting used to. This is particularly true when trying to use the fob by feel only.

Easy 1 person programming. When I go for a walk, I can carry it in my pocket. Easy to pass on to the person who checks my home also. Compatible with my sun visor remote which stays in the car now.

This remote controller is a good size to carry around. Programming was very simple. The old remote that came with the door opener was big and bulk I never wanted to give it to family member to check on the house while I was away due to size, but with this new remote it is simple for them to connect it to the keychain.
