A:  This will probably still fit. However, the best thing to do first is to read the measurements of the item to see if you will have a little wiggle room between the front and back door closures. In addition, one of the problems is that you will need to drill holes in your door and use screws, because none of the double adhesive attachments work at all. The first few times you open and close your door, it will start flopping loose. When they do, stuff will start falling out of the back of the baskets, hitting the floor or your feet.

A:  It won’t be loose. There are small screws that comes with the unit to fasten to the door in each of the grooves. You can choose which grooves to put it in.

A:  The approximate distance between the baskets is a little over 9 inches. However this can be changed depending on where you decide to place the baskets. Thank you for your inquiry.

A:  The space between the baskets is adjustable. The way we have ours set up is 5 inches for our spices and 9 inches for taller items. I hope this helps.

A:    I have it loaded with cleaning supplies and it is holding up well.  Haven’t put canned goods on it.  So nice to have everything organized and right in front of me.

A:  I don’t put canned goods in mine.  It would put a strain on the door & there are plenty of smaller items to put on door storage.

A:  Not sure what weight it will hold, but seems strong enough for cans. However, the weight of the cans could put a lot of stress on the door hinges, making the door sag. Would need to screw the shelf to back of door also so there is no movement of shelving when opening door. Hope this helps!

A:  The shelf itself will most likely support the cans but the issue is with the door/hinges. Most interior doors are not designed for weight beyond the door itself. The screws used do not go into the jamb. While I do not place many cans in mine, I still replaced the hinge screws with 3" screws to prevent sagging/undue stress. To date I have not had any issues or complaints with the shelf and I am very happy with my purchase.

A:  Hello, No the vertical supports can not be cut down unfortunately. We do apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your inquiry.

A:  The verticals come in 3 sections. You could get away with only installing 2 off the 3 sections without cutting anything. See the assembly instructions linked below for details.

A:  Sure.  The support is actually two pieces connected by a metal clip, so you could install only half.  You will need a hack saw to cut the supports if you want a custom length.  You may also need to drill a new screw hole if you cut the bottom one off.  There is also an adhesive mounting option that would not require new holes.

A:  we cut to fit in side closet did not put over door hope that helps.

A:  It comes in sections. I wouldn’t use them all on smaller doors. But I do know someone who has cut them shorter and had no problems using it.
