Asked by Mikes April 19, 2019

Answer

Hello! For these wall brackets you will need a 3/4 inch hanging rod. Thank you for your inquiry.

there is a brushed nickel 8 foot superslide hanging rod, but no wall brackets to match... why??

Answer

We apologize but this wall bracket is only available in white. We manufacture the rod in nickel to match our ShelfTrack system.

What is the load capacity for these?

Asked by Mike March 29, 2016

Answer

The load capacity of this bracket is subject to the condition of the drywall it is being installed into. If installed into drywall that is at least 1/2 inch think and in good condition, using the anchors provided, then the bracket should be able to withstand peak loads of up to 45lbs vertically applied.

What Rod are you supposed to use with this Bracket

I don't know what rod the company recommends, but a good 3/4" piece of pvc fits perfectly in the space allotted. A 1/2" piece would also work, albeit not as well.

What is the o.d. of the rod that fits this bracket?

Supports a 3/4 in. closet hang rod.

ARE THESE METAL BRACKETS

No. These are plastic brackets. At my home depot they are right next to these metal brackets (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-5-16-in-Heavy-Duty-White-Closet-Pole-Sockets-2-Pack-HD-0010-WT/205561117)

I have a small recess in my workshop and it is wasted space.  I was looking at ways to make this more usable, and came across these small brackets at my local Home Depot.  I decided that for the reasonable price I might be able to use these in the space to create a small storage system.  The price was fair so I purchased two, and after seeing the quality and performance I got from them I returned to purchase another.  These are mounted by a series of three screws, which can be anchored either with drywall mounts or directly into the stud.  On one side of the wall I was able to mount them directly into a stud, on the other I had to use drywall anchors.  After that, I used a piece of 3/4" pvc to create a bracket and it fit absolutely perfectly.  I use them to store various tape and strong, and the ability to lift out the 3/4" pvc rod to quickly remove items is tremendously helpful.  Several of my friends commented on the design and have replicated it in their own shops.  I'm not sure how these would hold up in a larger closet, and question the strength of how much weight they could actually support, though for my application they really worked wonderfully.  I absolutely recommend this product for its five star quality, price, and functionality.
