In the Specifications / Details, the Tensile Strength is listed as 50.0 lbs. I used a tie tensioning tool that had a maximum tension of 65 lbs to tighten them, although for my installation it was not necessary to fully tighten all of them. The teeth that engage with a pawl in the head will be the weakest link compared to the overall tape, so 50 lbs seems like a safe working limit for these ties.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too many bad ones in this bag I purchased these and used them within a month. I use about 150 to 200 every event I do so I go through a lot of them. This batch had a lot of ones which were brittle and broke on me before they were even tightened down well, and others in this batch did not catch when pulled, so they did not zip tightly (or at all for that matter). I can purchase twice as many for a little less than this elsewhere of the same size and have never had an issue with them. Very disapointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A politician's friend! It's election season, and with that comes dozens, hundreds, OK..THOUSANDS of campaign posters along roadsides across the US. When installing signs in the desert of Arizona, there is no better way to attach signs to re-bar than these UV resistant cable ties. The biggest enemy is not "the other guy's campaign", rather, the daily baking by the sun. These ties hold up very well to the UV exposure, FAR better than the white cable ties that only last a fraction of the black ties' life. A good investment, and in the 500 pack, they cost less than a nickel apiece.

The cable ties were perfect for an out-in-the-sun project as they're supposed to be impervious to the damaging effects of the sun on plastic, but I'll let you know in another year how they held up. The only problem is what to do with the other 480, but I'm sure they'll come in handy sometime. Will buy again in about 100 years after I use these all up!

They are very tough, they are UV resistant, they stand up to sharp edged bar joists, they don't stretch and they don't break. I am a data cable/fiber optics technician and find these ties to be highly satisfactory.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cable zip ties I have had to use the zip ties for several years to assemble grid walls for my photography display at a local Farmer's Market. Invariably, I encounter ties that won't tighten up (yes, I am applying them correctly) or break as I tighten them. I have complained many times to customer service but nothing changes. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place because I need the ties for my business. But I would like to find another product that I could rely on to work as expected.
