About This Product

DIG's 0-14 GPH, 360°, Adjustable Drip Emitter on Spike is designed to produce a very low flow to gentle stream pattern with an adjustable flow rate of 0 to 14.1 GPH and a diameter range of 0 to 2.3 ft. at 25 psi. Available in two models, including model BA1B (pack of 4) and B10B (pack of 10). Each drip emitter has an adjustable cap that allows for simultaneous control of the flow rate and the wetting area. As your plants grow, the flow can be increased as the plants require more water to flourish. Useful in residential gardens for accommodating a variety of different plants including an individual plant, group of plants, inside planter boxes, small to large pots or for groundcovers, shrubs and trees. These 360°, Adjustable Drip Emitter on Spike offer a convenient way to water areas where conventional sprinkler systems are not workable.

Q:I could not get the 1/4 inch hose to go over the emitter tab or whatever you call it. I tried everything. They are not barbed. Please help.

Answer This Question

A:  These attach to a 1/4 diameter tube, which connects via another barbed connector to a 1/2” or 3-4” main. Probably other configurations too, but I did find the 1/4” tubes needed a good push to get a proper connection to these.

A:  I would recommend warming up the ¼” tubing by setting the tubing out in direct sunlight for 30 minutes to an hour or warming up the tubing by using hot water. A:  You just need to push a little harder. Maybe lightly warm the tube for pliability

A:  I suggest filling a mug with water, then microwave for 2-3 minutes. Be cautious, it will be hot. Soak the end of the hose for 30 seconds or so. It should slide on easily. Hold it on for a few moments allowing it to cool. Alternatively, use a lighter, but only a few seconds.

A:  Yes , you can close off and set the drip to different volumes . Don't unscrew the cap top far as it will vibrate from the water flow and pop off causing a stream fountain .

Q:Can I take the 25 PSI regulator off and run more drippers at a higher pressure? We have a flower farm and need to run more than 15 drippers at one time on one system.

                    Answer This Question

A:  Yes, increasing the pressure will increase the max flow of your supply line, but doing this will usually cause your emitters and fitting to leak or worst case pop off the line. I would recommend splitting your system into two different zones (systems) and run them at separate times. This will give you the ability to run a max of 15 adjustable drippers on each one of your zones. If you have any other questions, please contact our technical service/product support team at 1-800-322-9146.

Q:Why do these stop working and need to be adjusted with every use? I go around and adjust the cap so that they all emit water perfectly. Then I turn off that irrigation zone, and turn it back on, and many of them will not emit any water. So I adjust them all again so that they are all emitting water. And guess what- same thing over and over. What’s the purpose of drip irrigation if I cant get automated watering?

                      Answer This Question

A:  If you are having to adjust your drip emitters every irrigation cycle it usually indicates, you may be exceeding the max flow of the supply line. .700 OD poly drip tubing at 25 PSI has a max flow rate of around 3.6 GPM or 220 Gallons per hour. Because the BA1B is adjustable from 0-14 gph you must take the highest flow rate even if you are adjusting the dripper down to less than the 14 gph. Take a quick count of how many BA1B drip emitters you are using multiply that number by 14 and then subtract your total flow rate from 220gph. At 14gph per emitter you can run a max of 15 BA1B drippers at one time. If you have any other questions, please contact our technical service/product support team at 1-800-322-9146.

A:  Sounds like you have sediment in your system. Flush it for at least a minute at the end of the 1/2 line and make sure you have a filter especially if you have hard water. Make sure emitters are high enough to not suck in mud water

This is a nice sprayer for my flower beds that don't need a lot of water fed to each plant. I just sprinkled the beds. My drip system is pressurized to 30 PSI, so these sprayers have a maximum of twelve inch reach in any direction. They were very easy to install. You can move them around real easy. I think they're great.

I used these in conjunction with the 360 degree drippers to water my flower beds. The 180 degree drippers work well along and edge like sidewalk to stream water 180 degrees out along an edge. I also use the 360 degree drippers for a full 360 degree pattern. They squirt water out about 10 inches. I have mine hooked up to wifi controller along with my lawn irrigation system. I had to get these to raise dripper above ground level so i could cover water line with mulch to hide tubing.
