Is this washer and dryer stackable? And if it is can you stack them on top of a pedestal?

Per manufacturer, they can be stacked with an optional kit but these machines are huge. And yes, they can by put on a 15" pedestal with a drawer that holds 50 lbs of supplies.

This is a great washer which I feel deserves more than 3 stars except the first one I got leaked water out of the bottom on day one. I took the top off to see what was going on and the section of drain hose that's inside the washer had a hole in it and was spraying water all over. Don't they check these for leaks at the factory? Anyhow, they sent me a replacement which is working great. It has some nice options including a 15 minute wash cycle. The spin cycle is very quiet- quieter than my two previous front loaders. The drum is huge and holds a lot of clothes. It also has a light inside which is the first I've seen on a washer. There are two things I don't like: The end of cycle chime is not very loud and doesn't have a volume control. Why not have a volume control? It's a simple thing; The options are controlled by one button which you have to scroll through to get to the one you want and then select it. I wish there were separate buttons for the options or at least a separate button for "extra rinse" . Other than that I'm very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional washer; great features This Electrolux washer has surpassed our expectations. The controls are simple, intuitive and provide the ability to customize wash, temp and spin options beyond the default factory recommendations. The wahser operates quietly and has not vibrated during high spin speeds. The wash system, which pre-mixes water and detergent for a more thorough clean, is genius. All of our clothing has come out clean and fresh. While this washer uses minimal water, it cleans exceptionally well by spraying clothes with a torrent of water and detergent during the wash cycle. Every fiber of your clothing gets thoroughly soaked. The special presoak and steam cycles provide an extra boost for tough stains. The sanitize function and extra rinse options are helpful for those with allergies. Without a doubt, this is the best washer we've ever owned. We like, too, that the door gasket is designed to remove water and is designed with an integral antibacterial agent that prevents mold and mildew orders, that are common with older front load washers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After literally researching washers for a year, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase!! A y... After literally researching washers for a year, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase!! A year ago I started looking for a new washer because my top loader needed too many repairs during the time we had it. I even asked all my Facebook friends and literally nobody could recommend a washer other than old ones that still worked. Nearly everyone warned me to stay away from front loaders. I compared EVERY brand of washer and still couldn't find one that was a) big enough, b) actually CLEANED my clothes, c) didn't ruin clothes and d) didn't start to have an odor after some time. I read hundreds of reviews. The reason I love this washer so much is because it does what its supposed to do so well! Sure, its quiet, nice looking, super easy to use, has lots of functions. But a lot of washers do. Here's an example of how well it cleans. I use essential oils on my face every night along with oils such as jojoba and shea butter. Eventually, I ruined my bamboo sheets to the point they looked like I drug them out in the dirt. The part of the sheet that touched my face was almost black! I've washed them several times in hot water using oxiclean and anything else I could find that's supposed to remove stains. Expecting the same results, I washed my sheets with my new washer using the steam feature. With no exaggeration, my sheets look brand new!!! I have 3 bath robes with the same oily stains on them and all 3 robes are completely clean! My only regret is that I didn't take before and after pics but its because I really didn't expect them to come clean. As with most front loaders, it takes longer to wash a load, especially using the steam feature but I've used the 15 min cycle and the clothes were still clean. Its a great feature for clothes w/o stains. I'm perfectly fine with waiting longer for my clothes as long as they are truly clean. OH and the spin cycle is so efficient that my clothes come out almost dry and no its not because they weren't wet in the first place like a lot of people complain about with their front loaders. I've watched the cycle and the clothes get completely soaked. The spin cycle is efficient AND gentle. I do recommend zipping up pants and not washing delicate things with rougher items like jeans if you use the highest spin cycle. In summary, this washer is quiet, efficient, easy to use, has a variety of functions and gentle on clothes. There's no feature I would change. We even used the clean washer cycle because my husband washed rags with chemicals on them. The first time we tried to use it, it stopped after about 10 mins. We tried again and it did the same thing. We called customer service and even though it took a while for them to get the right person on the phone, she was very nice and helpful. We turned the washer off and back on at the breaker and it worked just fine. However, I asked just in case how long it would take for a technician to come out in case it didn't work and she said it would be the next day. This washer was worth the year waiting for in order to find the perfect one. I can't recommend it enough!

The drum is very large, it is as large as many commercial units. The unit is 27 wide x 29 deep (inches). They made the drum as large as they could and still maintain the 27 in width. The large drum works well with rugs. The drum is deep so you may find it difficult to reach the back of the unit if it is not on a stand. The drum is NOT tilted back 10 degrees like on the new Samsung models. Electrolux is easier to unload since the clothes are distributed evenly and the clothes DO NOT go to the back of the drum like with the Samsung. Water DOES NOT get stuck in the front of the drum because there are 3 holes in the front for drainage. This is also true of the new Samsung units. Older models held water in the front of the unit which eventually caused mold. The instructions said to wipe out the front of the unit after each use, which nobody followed, hence the mold. Electrolux and Samsung have solved this problem by adding holes to the bottom/front of the unit. The pull-out tray has five locations to load; 1) detergent, 2) bleach, and 3) fabric softener, 4) PODs, and 5) Pre-treatment liquid. The PODs option is nice as you know exactly where to put them (no guessing). Not sure how many will use the pre-treatment option, as we usually spray the bad spots and let them soak in the drum for a couple hours or overnight. The Light goes off automatically after a few minutes which is fabulous. You do not have to close the door to keep the light off. There are nine basic settings including a Clean (the) Washer setting. Of special note is the 15 min fast wash which is one of the fastest wash cycles available. The rest are what you would expect on a high-end washer. There are five Temperature, five Soil, and five SPin settings, which are all what you would expect on a high-end washer. There are seven options. Of special note are the a) perfect steam option (for dirty diapers or stinky clothes) and b) extra rinse; to get all the detergent out for those with allergies. There is also a special PODs button if you are using pods. The machine dissolves/mixes the pod with water before the mixture goes onto your clothes. You can fit two PODs if you need to. We like the on/off button, and the large knob to select the main cycle. Other competing units have controls that are all buttons. We like the fact that you can easily turn the unit on and off with a single button, and the fact that make your main selection with a large knob. This is one of the more intuitive units to use. To help you out when you select a basic setting the other items are selected for you, so you just have to tweak the Temperature, Soil, Spin, and Options. It is generally pretty easy to figure out. The bottom line is that this is an exceedingly good unit.

The machine might be fine, but I'll never buy an Electrolux product again. The company is clearly dysfunctional, top to bottom. The story: we ordered a machine on May 7th, for delivery May 19th. It arrived on the 19th as expected. We tested it, knowing Home Depot's policy that you can only return a major appliance if there are issues reported within two days. We heard a knocking sound as the drum spins. (So we got a broken machine, right out of the box.) So we called and reported the issue. And learned that having to call Electrolux is something you should only do if you are desperate. The phone tree is layers and layers deep, and forces you to talk to a "virtual assistant" that literally can't understand what you say, and then you end up being asked to repeat it all again when you get to a human. And then you end up transferred back and forth between the "Electrolux" department and the "Home Depot at Electrolux" department, over and over again, on hold each time, because apparently they can't just have one person deal with a whole issue. I didn't keep count, but through the course of this saga, I called them at least 10 times. Each call took about 10 minutes of phone tree games, plus whatever additional hold time waiting for a person, plus whatever few minutes it took to actually talk through the issue with the person. Figure 3-4 hours of my life, lost to Electrolux's awful customer service. So after the first call, they tried to talk me into calling Home Depot directly (remember, I was dealing with "Home Depot at Electrolux" - whatever that is). I insisted that they deal with the issue, so they agreed to send out a repairman, the following week. Their scheduling protocol, of course, sucks; they can't nail down specific times or dates. I ended up getting the phone number of the actual company who was coming out to do the repair, and after 3 or so additional calls, I was able to nail down an actual date and time directly with them. They came, found the issue, talked to Electrolux about it, and reported to us that they were going to have to order $800 worth of parts to fix the issue, and come back out to fix it once the parts were in. $800 in parts alone, for a $1K washer. We decided we didn't want an effectively-refurbished machine right out of the box, and told Electrolux that we wanted them to take the machine back and replace it, instead. They agreed. Then, days later, we found out that they were actually backordered on the machine for at least a month, so they didn't have any way to get us a new machine. After MULTIPLE additional rounds of calls (including one where they told us they couldn't take our broken machine back, and then transferred us through a loop of people that ended up back at the same department where they told us they COULD take the machine back), it became clear that our options were to wait a month without a working machine, or return the machine and just buy some other machine (and wait for however long it would take to deliver) from Home Depot (and who knows when we'd get the refund, in this whole process). And then - luck! Someone at Electrolux realized that the problem was that they were switching over model years, so there weren't ever going to be any more of our specific machine (so it's a good thing we didn't wait for one!) but there were going to be new machines from the new model year in two weeks, and she could get one of those for us. We took that option. If you're keeping track, the new delivery date was June 9th - over a month after we originally placed the order. So then June 9th came... and no machine appeared. I called again (THAT AWFUL PHONE TREE) and was told by a very annoyed customer service person that my original delivery date wasn't "final" and that they should have told me that, AND THAT THEY WERE BACKORDERED AND HAD RESCHEDULED THE DELIVERY FOR JULY 7TH, AND NEVER TOLD US SO. So they sent us a broken machine, then wanted to replace the entire guts of the machine, then made us wait two weeks for an actual replacement, and then had the gall to cancel that delivery date without telling us, and then had the gall to pick a new delivery date without consulting us, and then had the gall to be annoyed when we were angry about it. And, of course, at that point we were back to the same options again: wait, or try our luck with a return and a whole new purchase. Against our better judgment, we decided to wait. It seemed worse to give Electrolux any way out of this mess, or any way to screw things up worse - at least we still had some "leverage" with them in that we had their machine sitting in our basement. We used a local laundromat, in the meantime. That sucked. So we waited, and eventually a very nice delivery company came and took our old one and delivered our new one, and it didn't make the noise. Literally two months to the day after we placed the original order. So yeah, it washes clothes. It seems nice. I hope that in the long run, it turns out to work as well as we thought it would, when we very-carefully chose it. But all that doesn't matter; this machine has already cost me way more than it would ever be worth, to buy anything from Electrolux ever again. I hope that you feel the same way, and avoid them too.

I have a 2nd floor laundry room and I am only washing for 3 people, but I am short (5’3”) and almost 50. I like to wash my own comforters and do towels very frequently. My previous set of machines were too deep for me to reach. My top load washer was great if I was pulling out towels, but I couldn’t reach the washcloths very well. The Electrolux washer is my first experience with front loading. When we first received the machines, I couldn’t believe how big they appeared to be. However, once they were installed I realized they were not bigger on the outside than the ones we were replacing. One main difference is the door on the front loaders protrudes out past the front of the machine so it feels a little bigger and they take up a little more space front to back. (picture included) Plus, they require elevation, either with manufactured pedestals, which are pretty expensive on top of the cost of the washer/dryer, or a DIY platform of some sort. My husband and I chose not to purchase the manufactured pedestals. We opted for a DIY cabinet he designed/built for under the machines. This was AWESOME because he measured where the perfect height FOR ME would be. After they were elevated ….the configuration was WONDERFUL for my 5’3” frame! I barely even have to bend to put the laundry in or take it out. The doors are aligned so you move the wash directly into the dryer. This transition is WAY BETTER than my previous situation. I can reach both the socks and the washcloths in both machines, no problem! Both machines are large enough to do comforters and lots of towels. Additionally, the control panel is VERY USER FRIENDLY. Both machines have many features that I am already enjoying, like time delay start, eco mode, 15 min cycle, both sensor and time mode on the dryer and automatic settings for various types of loads, on both machines. PROS 1) perfect height once raised 2) Spin cycle is very thorough (and adjustable) 3) Tray for liquids is designed well 4) Large drum (can do a queen comforter) 5) Easily reach ALL the clothes when unloading 6) Control panel excellent CONS: 1) machines MUST be raised to use them 2) Adjustable feet to level machine. However, tool wash not included to adjust feet wash not included. 3) 2nd floor laundry room….spin cycle vibrates tremendously (we purchased vibration pads that have helped, but did not solve the problem) 4) tray for liquids a little high for me once the washer was raised 5) control panel very sensitive, you can accidentally turn off the machine if you bump the wrong place Overall, I am very happy with this washer. My goal of being able to comfortably reach the laundry was accomplished with the front load design and the elevated machines. I would say the only true negative is the spin cycle. If your laundry room is on the first floor or in the basement, I would definitely buy these machines. The dryer truly could go anywhere, but the spin cycle on the second floor isn’t optimum, but we are still trying to find a way to stop/decrease the vibrations from the washer during spin cycle.

I cannot believe how clean my 13 month olds clothes are. The stain and soil settings are doing a fantastic job. I am amazed at the capacity of the machines. I am doing much larger loads than my old set and yet my clothes are less wrinkled. I do not spin on higher than medium to avoid wrinkles, but even that spin setting gets the clothing near dry resulting in shortened time in the dryer. I like the interior lights when you open the door, too. The washer is a little louder than my old Frigidaire (also made by Electrolux) but I have a door to my laundry room so once I shut it I can't hear it. Just thought it was worth mentioning. I would buy this washer again.
