Product Details

Designed for a 1-1/4 in. female threaded sump or utility pump, this garden hose adapter connects to a standard 3/4 in. garden hose. The adapter easily threads onto the pump discharge. Use of rubber gaskets are recommended (not included).

  • Threads into sump or utility pumps with female threads

    A:  If you are referring to a sump pump, the 1/3 HP Everbuilt sump pump with integral level control is indeed advertised and the enclosed manual and information refers to an included garden hose connector. However, it it not a garden hose connector that's included, it is a reducer from 1 1/4" NPT threads to 3/4' NPT as you note. The latter size is definitely not a garden hose fitting. You must buy a garden hose fitting (there are both male and female fittings available) to connect the above mentioned model to a garden hose. The garden hose connect ability is not, as advertised, included with the product. It's a minor additional cost, but, a real bother to return to a distant store to get the pump working as expected. The inaccuracy should be corrected.

      A:  Sherry. If you are using this adapter for a 1 1/2" discharge on a sump pump then you could have serious flow restrictions. These adapters are used for utility pumps where a garden hose is used. This could be used for a sump in a temporary basis only.

        A:  Depending on the size of your sump pump discharge which should be 1 1/2" this adapter would starve the pump of its performance. They can be used with a utility pump with little issues but with a sump it can only be used on a temporary basis.

                  Be sure you need this, beware!
                  This was a useless item that was recommended on the site to work with the sump pump I needed to get. Not only useless but expensive because I ordered next day delivery for a fee and I got the useless plastic piece and not the sump pump, $14+ just for this item. Beware of recommendations from this site.
