buried a 5 gallon bucket to the rim under a deck that had no rain runoff, no the water drains in the bucket, the pump turns on and a hose goes to the drain that leads to the street via the downspout

A powerful pump
This unit comes complete with a garden hose adapter and a check valve. The water level is activated at about 1.25 inches which is just perfect for my usage. it will automatically turn off at about 1/8 of an inch to assure long life of the pump. Not suitable for muddy areas. The long cord is a perfect length of about 10 feet and is waterproof. Overall I am very please at the operation with this little might tiger.

Pumps like crazy.
My water depth was over the 5 gallon bucket in crawl space. Main water line had burst. With 50 foot hose down hill. Leak filled complete crawl space up with clean water. I drilled holes in a 5 gallon bucket, set in water. At over 1,600 gallons per hour, it took a few hours but took it down to no water. Very good pump.

Leaked from a split in the plastic near a seam
Leaked from a split in the plastic near a seam. Check valve and garden hose adapter make this pump tall and easy to tip over and in need of more storage space. Rated at 27 gallons per minute and took approximately 90 minutes to empty our 300 gallon hot tub through a 50' garden hose which is about 1/10th that rate at 3.3 gpm

The leak is the airlock relief hole. There is a label right next to it explaining what that is. This is needed to ensure the pump does not airlock. 27 gallons per minute is the rated flow at 1-1/4” hose at 0’ of discharge head. Small garden hoses at a long length will reduce the flow rate of any pump.

Installed as sump pump in crawl space under my house next to a basement wall. In extended periods of heavy rain, water would collect in the crawl space and infiltrate through a cinder block basement wall into a garage. This pump had more capacity than I needed. I did have to replace the integrated check valve with a different one. The integrated check valve that came with the pump stuck in the closed position and stopped the pump from working. I like the volume this pump will handle. Also, I like the vertical float switch. Pump automatically activates at 1.5" - 2" water depth and shuts off at about 1/4" depth. Pump continues to run for 30 seconds after the water level is below the off switch position.

This little pump works great. I actually use it in my 10000 gallon above ground pool for my solar heater. The water goes up 4 ft, down 4ft and out 30 feet, then through 500ft of black pipe, and then back. Easily handles that and can still fill a 5 gallon bucket in about a minute or two. It works like a charm. We have two in the pool and one still in the box incase of an emergency. Strongly recommend for those purposes.

Everbilt 1/3 horsepower automatic utility pump that includes 1 ¼ inch check valve and a ¾ inch garden hose adapter and turns on when water reaches 1 ½ inches and off at 1/8 inch. This is rated at a maximum of 27 gallons per minute that of coarse can be lower with long hose lengths or high lift situations and I wanted to have this on hand so it is here when needed.

This is something every home owner should have in their house for a in case something happens. The pump is not to loud. Pumps 27 gallons a minute and can lift the water up as far as 28 ft vertically. Has automatic shut off so you wont burn out the motor. Water must be higher than 1/8 inch in order for the pump to kick on. If you have large debris i would recommend using a 5 gallon bucket and drill holes in the bucket so the debris wont get caught in the pump itself.

I'm very impressed with the Everbilt 1/3hp automatic utility pump because of its quality and great performance. As you can see from the photos it has lots of pressure and will deliver up to 27 gallons per minute and has a maximum lift capacity of 28 feet. Other pumps I've owned haven't had the automatic shut off switch and this is a real great feature on this pump. It removes water down to 1/8 inch which is great for pumping water in basements of window wells. It comes with an adapter to decrease the pipe size form 11/4"npt to 3/4"npt. It also has a 1 year warranty. I definitely recommend it for home or industrial use.
