Hello - We recommend 1-1/2" screws for the wall mounting and 5/8" screws for the shelf board to bracket.

What?? A 10 in. x 3/4 bracket extends 11.75 inches off the wall? That makes no sense.

Robby - the depth is measured from the what would be the wall to the end of the support.

          Answer This Question

No screw is required on the J hook. If you want one you would need to drill a hole or use a small self-drilling screw.

I like sheet rock screws they seem to work better then wood screws for wood.

Works great with the 12” or 11” shelving. Strong, especially when installed in studs.

Tantan9 - We are sorry to hear of the issues you had with this bracket. Often when there is an issue, it's due to the brackets not being secured to the wall studs and just installed into the drywall. When secured to wall studs, a pair of brackets can safely hold up to 500lbs. KnapeVogt

                            Absolute Junk
Others here complained about these not being square and they are not. Apparently some genius decided that giving these an interior angle > 90° would make them support weight better. I had to bend the angled support to make my self lay flat - which then weakened the bracket. I will look for something better and when I find it these will go to the metal bin at the transfer station. Don't waste your money. Zero stars if I could.

These are GOD AWFUL. First of all they aren't square, they aren't even welded together, there are little metal tabs that are bent into place and NO TWO ARE ALIKE. I though I did something wrong until I compared these to one another (see photo). Spend the extra 30 cents and find the ones that are actually welded and square, these will be returned, and someone else will get stuck with them.
