Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, 8.8 N/mm ± 10%

    8.8 N/mm cannot possibly be correct. That's over 50 lb/inch. I measured very close to 20 lb/inch.

Great spring! I have a 12x19 fabric “fly” over our back patio. Due to lengths of tie off points, I can only use 2 springs to give if we get strong wind. I live in DFW area. One night we had high winds while we slept. Got up next morning and no fly!! As it turned out, the springs stretched to their maximum and then straightened out enough to release the fly. It was on our roof, still attached at 1 tiers off point. Without the springs, pretty sure fly would have been destroyed. Bought 2 more and back in business!!

Project: sunshades over our cars. We used these springs to help secure the corners of our sunshades to poles. A year into their use, a serious storm threatened to shred the sunshades. The springs pulled out of shape (which protected the shades) but did not break. It saved the shades! 5 stars!

Made by Everbilt, you've got a quality product. A package of two extension springs that are zinc plated that will remain rust proof for the life of the springs. Each is 13/16" gauge by 4 inch length. They are very strong and provide for a multitude of uses. Applications can vary anywhere from industrial, mechanical, household to playtime projects. One of those "sure wish I had" items you need top keep around.
