Wood screws are designed with aggressive threads to securely grip wood. Commonly used to join two pieces of wood tightly together or to attach hinges, locks, or other hardware to wood. Using a pilot hole slightly smaller than the wood screw diameter is suggested to prevent splitting.
Specifically designed for woodworking applications
Made from solid brass for good corrosion resistance
Make a 1/4 in. pilot hole prior to installing the wood screw
Includes 2 wood screws to complete your project
Flat-head Phillips drive
Common project applications: remodeling, fencing, storage, cabinets, framing

Answer This Question
A: Hollow wall anchors are sized according to the screw size with which they should be used. The basic plastic anchor to match a #10 screws would be something like the “#10-12 x 1-1/4 in. Blue Ribbed Plastic Anchor (75-Piece)” https://www.homedepot.com/p/204273427.

They say "wood screw" on the pkg
But drill first. Not strong enough to tap into wood. I figured that wood screws are made to just screw in. I suppose you trade tough for pretty with these. It seems that I will need to predrill holes.

Screw sheared off
Very disappointed, 6 to a package and first one sheared off leaving the majority of the screw in the wood- of course with nothing a pliers could grasp. Now the job is even bigger!

TOTAL GARBAGE
Both of these screw heads broken off while hand tightening my hose bib into the side of my house. Now I have 2 screws stuck in my wall in the only space the hose bib will allow. So I can't install my hose bib and I have a copper water line that I can't move, unless I open up the wall inside and redo all my plumbing. Thanks Everbilt, you continue to disappoint as always - why Home Depot uses you as a supplier is a complete mystery. DO NOT BUY FROM EVERBILT

This is quite possibly the worst screw I've ever used. I do a lot of finish woodworking on old and very expensive pianos and when I was applying decorative work to an ornate piano bench I had three of these screws snap INSIDE THE WOOD!!!! I was doing it by hand and barely using any force and the screw holes had previously had 3 of the exact same type of screw in there so there's zero excuse for this. I had to tap out 3 of these #3 screws from a very expensive piece of wood. And if Home Depot wants to offer me a refund I want them to think about the extra 2 hours I had to VERY carefully take on this irreplaceable piece of wood just to tap 3 screws out of it without any damage. Yep, completely enraged about this one.

Extremely weak
Can’t even drive them by hand into a pre-drilled hole without snapping the heads off
