A: I wouldn’t recommend using these for band pegs but you could buy bigger and longer ones 3/4” x 5” or 1” x 6”
A: The Screw Eyes are not to be used for athletic equipment, playground equipment, or in situations where personal safety or valuable property could be endangered, or in support or restraint of human weight in any manner.
A: The diameter of this Screw Eye is approximately 0.4 inches.
A: just used 5/16 yesterday and that was too big. 3/16 worked great.
A: We recommend using a 3/8 inch drill bit for this Screw Eye.
A: I tapped using a 3/8" bit to allow sufficient material for the threads to hold on to.
A: Use either 1/8” or 5/16” drill bit
A: These hooks are suitable up to 30 LBS each ( if secured into a wood beam/joists at least 3 " ). But when a child is swinging, the weight & longevity changes to 15-25 LBS over a 6 month time. Always place pillows or blankets under infant swing and never leave child unattended.
A: This product is not for overhead lifting and is not designed to support human weight.
A: Yes, but that depends on what it is installed in. Infant swings are typically only rated up to 35 lbs. so anything rated for 50 lbs. or more should be sufficient if installed in the proper material. You may also want to consider swing straps instead.
