Q:How do I measure the equal parts. Does it come with a measuring cup?
    by|Apr 22, 2024
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Glaze Coat requires a 1:1 ratio by volume. Plastic buckets with clearly marked volume measurements work the best (not included in the epoxy kit). Step one of the mixing process is to pour equal parts of hardener and resin into clean, separate containers; the mix must be a 1:1 ratio. The amount needed is determined by the size of the project. Please refer to the coverage chart in the instructions (ex.1 quart of mixed product covers 6.4 square feet at 1/16" thickness). Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and The Home Depot!

Q:Is there a clear coat I can put in this product so it’s UV safe.
      by|Apr 2, 2024
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  Glaze Coat is not a UV stable product and may yellow over time with day-in-day-out full sun exposure. Unfortunately there is not a way to prevent this, as the product will react with the sun's UV rays. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and The Home Depot.

Q:Where is the expiration date? Also can you use if expired?
        by|Dec 19, 2023
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  Glaze Coat has a two year shelf life, and its date of manufacture is printed either on the side of the box, or on a sticker affixed to the top of one of the bottles. It will be two six-digit numbers that look like "123456-123456," with the first number indicating the date of manufacture in MMDDYY format. Use outside of this two year shelf life may impact the finishing hardness of the product. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and The Home Depot!

            Penny Countertop Perfection
Used this to make a sweet penny countertop for my gameroom. Turned out really nice. Always make a little more than you need, and dont use a foam brush for your seal coat as it makes tiny bubbles. I actually did 2 flood coats (3 total) as my pennies were not all level. Mix the full 6 minutes then 6 more in a clean container. Super clear, and very nice...

Made natural stone looking counter tops!
I was able to add colorants to this to make professional looking natural stone countertops! Mix outside and add in layers or regular spray paint to a pail. Then just pour. after it cures, sand with 220 and add a layer of clear and presto! I added Fiber Optics for extra coolness!

                Fun
I added some coloring and had some fun. Now that I have the tools, I can change the look of my formerly laminate counterparts whenever for about $100 with this product and new pigments.

                  Expensive for cheep results
If you are doing a full thick resin table, do not use this product. If you need anything thicker then 1/8 inch, do not use. There was a chemical reaction which got very hot and turned yellow. I wouldn’t purchase this product ever again. Even after adding a blue tint to it, still turned the blue green. Very disappointed.

Crucial to follow instructions, watch some YouTube videos and you will be very impressed with it! Best when left outside in heat for a while just like Youtubers recommended. Will definitely use it again!

                    Great product
Product worked great for a pool bartop filled with a beach scene. It's about 3/4's of an inch thick. We used 6 gallons for the complete poor. Has a slight yellow tinge over white areas, but crystal clear over none white areas.

I bought this product to see if I could get more efficient with the clear coating process rather that using several coats of clear poly. I did a sample piece on a burned Hulk that I had made for my son. It definitely exceeded my expectations and was very easy to use! It's well worth the money and I would highly recommend this product!
