Product Overview

The Fimco Manufacturing Inc. 1-1/4 in. mini 4 Outlet Indexing Valve offers a reliable and economical way to automate multiple zoned irrigation systems. This Hydro Indexing Valve has 1 inlet and 4 outlets which are all 1-1/4 in. slip fit. The valve can be operated manually or automatically to suit your need. The simple design ensures ease of installation and maintenance.
  • Above- or below-ground installation
  • 10 PSI minimum pressure rating
  • Manual and automatic operation
  • Includes 2- and 3-zone cams for 2 - 4 active zones depending on the cam selected
  • Requires a 3/4 - 1-1/2 HP pump with a 5/8 - 1 in. city water meter and a flow rate of 10 - 30 GPM (pump and water meter not included)
  • An anti-siphon valve (not included) is recommended and may be required for safe operation of the FIMCO hydro indexing valve on a city water installation
  • Great alternative to individual solenoid valves
  • 1 valve can replace up to (6) 1 1/4 in. solenoids
  • Never worry about power surges or lightening compromising your irrigation system
  • Only use clear PVC cement (not included) and allow the valve 2 hours to set before subjecting it to internal water pressure, do not use fast setting blue glue as it will rapidly deteriorate the ABS plastic used in construction of the indexing valve, purple primer is similar and must be used only on the PVC pipes and not the valve housing
  • FIMCO 4 zone 1 1/4 in. valve includes 2 and 3 zone cams so it can have from 2 to 4 active zones depending on the cam selected

i have this same flow valve and it is set up for 2 zones. it is controlled by the pump- the zone alternates each time the pump goes on and off. i think the change in water pressure causes a valve to open and close. just set your timer on your pump to go on and off accordingly.

Can I use zone 1 and 4

Zones are number 1, 2, 3, 4 with 1 being the one on the opposite side of the inlet, going clockwise. The two-zone cam connects to zones 1 and 4. The three-zone cam connects to zones 1,2, and 3. The four-zone cam connects to all four zones.

It will not go to one of the zones

Make sure to use the correct cam for the number of zones in the installation. The 2-zone cam is marked 1-2, the 3-zone is marked 1-2-3, and the 4-zone is marked 1-2-3-4. Using a cam with less number of zones, i.e. a 2-zone cam in a 3-zone installation will cause water not to go to one zone all the time. Using a higher number of zones than required, i.e. a 4-zone cam in a 3-zone installation will not work either, because it will not activate all zones all the time. Besides, if using an irrigation pump, it can get damaged for having the flow blocked. Additionally, the assembly must be properly aligned as per provided instructions. Hope this helps.

I used to replace an old valve and it fit perfectly. Changing the four-zone cam that comes with the product to install the provided three-zone cam was very well explained in the documentation and easy to do. The removable inlet connection (not present in the old vale) helped a lot when it came to cutting and aligning pipes.
