Answer This Question
A:Â Thank you for your question , Due to its lower energy usage of 4.5 Watts, this bulb can be used in a fixture made for 40 Watts equivalent with a G9 BI-PIN base.

Answer This Question
A:Â Thank you for your question, in fact the energy used is 4.5-Watt equivalent to 40-Watt incandescent bulb which produces a cool, energizing, bright white (3000K)
by|Sep 30, 2022
A: It does not consume 40 watts, it’s just equivalent brightness to a 40 watt bulb. Cool white is not warm at all, think light (white) with no yellow (warm)Â

A:Â The FEIT Product Expert may not be as familiar with CRI, wattage equiv. and light color/temperature (not lumens) ratings and standards as they should be. I believe they have mixed up their terminology.

I have had horrific experience with these bulbs. I have gone through 4 of 6 bulbs I purchased.
They burn out really fast and one caught fire! I called FEIT numerous times about them and talked to my light fixture manufacture.
I purchased another brand to see if that fixes the issue.

+ whiter/bluer than other 3000k
I moved into an all brick townhouse with bad racetrack, bad wiring and bad fixtures, so I spent a week putting up LEDs and ceiling fans, before putting in the air conditioner, which I don't recommend. By the time I got into my "circular staircase"/death-shaft at 300f, 299% humidity, my patience was wearing thin, and after installing the new fixture I realized the sockets are in very deep and covered by a less than 3" diameter tube.
After about half an hour I got one G10 in, but was even more frustrated because I couldn't figure out how I got in and locked, so I threw a tempertantrum and tried to put in this G9. Which somehow worked. I wound up taking it out and spending another 45 minutes on the second G10 because I'm sure the wrong lamp will eventually blow up my house, but for a few seconds this bulb made me feel like I beat the system.
I like actual red light at night, as it doesn't interfere with night vision, but I am violently opposed to reddish-light and 3000k often makes me more homicidal than usual. I'm happy to see this is at the blue end of 3000k; you'll get eye cancer, but you won't hit anybody. Unnecessarily.

Bright little G9 bi-pin LED light bulb. Plugs in securely, and is pretty solid. Put this in a desk light that i have been using regular halogen bulbs in. Halogen bulbs as we all know, get very hot and for me, they generally do not last that long which i believe is due to the excess heat. I was going through the halogen's at a rate about about 1 every 1.5 to 2 months which gets annoying after awhile. So instead of replacing the entire lamp, i got this LED bulb and it doesn't disappoint. I have been using it for 3 weeks now and am looking forward to a far longer lasting bulb.

I really like the 40-Watt bright white T4 G9 Bi-Pin Base Decorative LED light bulb. I used this in my RV for the inside lighting and it works great. Not only does it have a 2 year guaranteed warranty, but the bulb is supposed to last for 5 years. The light that it puts out is great and we have changed all of our lighting to be able to use these. A great product to invest in.

This is a good option for an uncommon bulb type. The color is 3000k, which is my preferred light color temperature. I call it clean white. Not too yellow, not blue, just nice. The lumens per watt is decent, and the claim that it is equivalent to a 40 watt halogen is reasonable. It is rated for damp locations, which is good to know for those who need to use it for landscape lighting.

Just installed the bulb from Feit Electric! 40 Watt LED T4-G9. Well executed: quality, materials, and, obviously, performance. I installed it in bath along with other bulbs of 40 W from another producer: shines bright, color of light as expected. I miss only one feature a lot: frosted glass. If you glance at this bulb you will feel sharpens; some scattering will definitely help. Dimming may help as well, though I do not have dimmer in this bath. Lifetime 10K operating hours and two years warranty. Not bad! It's all perfect. Recommend!

This is a T4 G9 BI-OIN base LED bulb. It is a good replacement for my 40-Watt Halogen bulb that came with the light.
This being a bright white (3000K) bulb it aluminates a yellow light which is similar to the old incandescent bulbs.
This bulb burns very cool and even when the light has been on for an hour, you can still touch the bulb, unlike the Halogen bulbs who are very hot.
This LED bulb only uses 4.5 Watts of power to replace a 40 Watt Halogen bulb and it is rated to last 10,000 hours, which is 5 times longer than Halogens are rated for.
The second picture shows the bulb installed in my light as a replacement for the Halogen bulbs. The bulb in the center is this bright white bulbs, the others are daylight bulbs.
We are very happy this this bulb.
