+ whiter/bluer than other 3000k
I moved into an all brick townhouse with bad racetrack, bad wiring and bad fixtures, so I spent a week putting up LEDs and ceiling fans, before putting in the air conditioner, which I don't recommend. By the time I got into my "circular staircase"/death-shaft at 300f, 299% humidity, my patience was wearing thin, and after installing the new fixture I realized the sockets are in very deep and covered by a less than 3" diameter tube.
After about half an hour I got one G10 in, but was even more frustrated because I couldn't figure out how I got in and locked, so I threw a tempertantrum and tried to put in this G9. Which somehow worked. I wound up taking it out and spending another 45 minutes on the second G10 because I'm sure the wrong lamp will eventually blow up my house, but for a few seconds this bulb made me feel like I beat the system.
I like actual red light at night, as it doesn't interfere with night vision, but I am violently opposed to reddish-light and 3000k often makes me more homicidal than usual. I'm happy to see this is at the blue end of 3000k; you'll get eye cancer, but you won't hit anybody. Unnecessarily.
