Energy savings
The 3000k lamp will take some getting used to. I have been wanting to replace my halogens for awhile and finally decided to take the plunge with rising utility costs. Wish there was 2700k available. 3000k light is kind of flat.

I like the amount of light the bulb provides. But if I'd known how difficult it is to change a GU...
I like the amount of light the bulb provides. But if I'd known how difficult it is to change a GU10 bulb in the fixture I have, I would have found a different fixture. With this fixture it is impossible to see the base to easily place the pegs into proper position. However, the face of these bulbs are flat, which helps the suction cup that came with the fixture to hold on to the bulb when twisting the pegs in to their final position. Some other LED bulbs I've used are slotted around the face of the bulb and the suction cup doesn't hold at all.
In my opinion LED bulbs are just as bright, not as hot and more efficient than the halogen bulbs they replaced. All good characteristics.

The lights worked well and are dimmable which was the reaason for the change. I needed 4 but they were available only in a 3 pack. I could not find a single so I had to purchase 2 extra. With LED bulbs we should not need to have extras on hand.

I buy the standard unit than toss the halogen bulb...
I buy the standard unit than toss the halogen bulb and replace with these low cost very low heat bulbs that are just as bright but don't put out any heat. They are awesome.
