Answer This Question

A:  Hello, unfortunately, we do not recommend changing the degree of this coupling it is designed to use only for 90-degree application because then we can't guarantee our coupling is going to work appropriately for you at that point. I do apologize for any inconvenience. if you have any questions, please give us a call here at Fernco and we will happily help you. thank you!

Q:My kitchen drain is going from 1.5" PVC to 1.25" copper pipe which is connected to old iron waste line. Can this product be used to connect the 1.5" PVC line to the 1.25" copper pipe? If not, is there another product that your company makes that can?

A:  Good morning, unfortunately, our QL-150 won't tighten down to your Copper side alone. you would have to purchase a reducer bushing along with it to put on the one end that is going on the copper pipe, that part number is 1.900-1.317R. But please keep in mind when using a bushing in the QL-150 it will create a little lip and will make that end a tad risen then the other side that doesn't have that bushing. I apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any further questions, please give us call here at Fernco and we will happily help you. Thank you!

Q:Is the 1-1/2" Fernco 90 elbow flexible enough to use on a joint where I need only a 22.5 - 30 degree bend?
        by|Jan 14, 2024
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  Hello, unfortunately, no. Our 90 elbow is not meant to be manipulated to change the degree of it. The flexible part of it is for the opening for the 1-1/2" pipe to go into. I apologize for the inconvenience. thank you!

Bought this to use on a dust collector setup using 2 1/4 & 2 1/2 shop vac hoses. Clamped it to the top of the chip collector and the other end to the hose running to the shop vac. Works great.

Easy to install in a tight space due to flexible/bendable. It can be removed/replaced any time without going to cut out PVC. The main purpose here to join female thread P-trap PVC since this is difficult to replace due to cutting out the male piece connect to wall pipe.
