I am pretty sure it is 3 prong. I had help on installation, but he use old plug which I am sure was 3 prong. I have no idea how the temperature is maintained, There is a display that shows the temperature. I always use near the lower time suggested.
Hi Maggie - Thank you for reaching out to us. We recommend operating this range on a 240 volt circuit protected by a 40 amp fuse or circuit breaker. We recommend purchasing a 240 volt, 40 amp range cord that matches your existing wall outlet. We do hope this helps. Vikki@GEA
Yes it does.
Hi Chelsea - Thank you for reaching out to us and for your interest in GE range model JS645DLWW. If you review Page 1, Section 2 of the Installation Instructions, the shaded area represents the space available for your electrical connection: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/a1/a1a528bd-94e1-45ba-b7be-c09b7fae62e6.pdf We are sorry that we do not offer a model that will allow the amount of clearance you need using your existing electrical connection. We wish you all the best. Vikki@GEA

Hello Geuris, Thank you for reaching out to us about this electric range. We are so sorry to hear that one of your burners is not working and we can understand how frustrating this must be. We would recommend unplugging the unit or resetting the breaker for 2 full minutes and reconnecting to the power source. Like other electronics or cell phones, sometimes they just need to reset. If the problem still persists, we would recommend service. Anything beyond basic trouble shooting would require a technician’s diagnosis. If the appliance is less than 1 year from the purchase date, our warranty will cover any necessary service and repair costs for you. Please call GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). We hope this helps, feel free to reach out again with any other questions you may have. Have a great day!-Avery@GEA
