Answer This Question

A:  Hi Gjianop - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your GE washer GTW755CSMWS. We are sorry to hear of the unfortunate experience when washing sheets. This is frustrating, we know. Make sure the washer is level. The washer needs to be level and sitting on a good, solid floor. The more the legs are extended, the shakier the washer will be during operation. Take a look at the following troubleshooting link- TOP LOAD WASHER WALKING OR VIBRATING: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17445 - Also, for best results, load sheets evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket, filling in towards the center on larger loads. If you need further assistance, a qualified GE service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. To schedule service online, visit us at GEAppliances.com or call 1.800.GE.CARES (800.432.2737). Please have your serial number and your model number available when calling for service. We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. We are always eager to help! Sue

A:  I understand your question and think it's a technical issue. As an owner of this model, I can attest that my washer will self-adjust off-balanced loads. Why your washer isn't doing this should be addressed by a service technician.

A:  Hi Betty - Thanks for choosing our GE® 4.9 cu. ft. Capacity Smart Washer GTW755CPMDG. We are happy to provide assistance with fabric softener use. Liquid fabric softener should be added to the small drawer in the rear of the washer opening. We suggest viewing an illustration and instructions on page 14 of the Use and Care Manual at the following link or scroll down the page to "Info & Guides": https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/73/73b37c13-e253-4f90-bb24-930dde17a384.pdf - We hope this is helpful. A:  Hi Liz - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE® Washer GTW755CPMDG. We are sorry to hear of the wrinkling and extreme lint and can understand your concern. The washer may be overloaded. For heavy or larger loads, choose the Deep Fill option. Press the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add an incremental amount of water to the wash load. Holding the Deep Fill button for 3 seconds will provide the deepest fill level possible. The Deep Fill button can also be pressed after the washer has completed filling and is in the wash phase if additional water is desired. To stop the extra fill, press the Deep Fill button again and the water will stop. Also, choose the Deep Rinse option and use a fabric softener (Note: you can choose Deep Rinse with or without using a fabric softener). Sort by color (whites, lights, colors), soil level, fabric type (sturdy cottons, easy care, delicates) and whether the fabric produces lint (terry cloth, chenille) or collects lint (velveteen, corduroy). Wash lint producers such as cotton towels and socks separate from lint collectors including synthetic garments and dress pants. Load dry items loosely in the washer basket. For best results, load items evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket, filling in towards the center on larger loads. Here's the link to the Use and Care Manual for reference: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90586-1.pdf - Also, you'll find more tips in the following links- LAUNDRY LINT CONCERNS AND SOLUTIONS: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17430 - TIPS CLOTHES WRINKLING IN THE WASHER: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17345 - We hope this is helpful. A:  I have owned the same washer, for about a year. I have experimented with different cycles & like the "Heavy Duty", or "Bulky Items" selections.Either one of those settings puts plenty of water in the tub, which may relieve your tight wrinkle problem. I assume your filling the liquid detergent dispenser, so it doesn't go dry. During a cycle, peek through the lid to see if you have enough water in the tub, as it is washing the clothes.

A:  Hi kb - The washer has an Auto Balance Suspension System. The washer tubs move freely within our exclusive auto balance suspension system. It is a rod and spring floating suspension, designed to withstand extensive out of balance situations without the need for an "out of balance" switch. During an out of balance load, the basket is allowed to "float" forward and backward, side to side, and up and down, yet it never touches the floor nor is it even connected to the floor. As a result, the clothes basket can move freely, and this is normal. The balance ring allows smooth operation and prevents the washer from knocking or walking. It allows the washer to go into a full speed spin with a 5 lb. out-of-balance load and the washer remains still. The balance ring is an enclosed plastic container that is partially filled with a salt water solution. The two halves of the balance ring are welded together to form a permanent seal. It is attached to the inner clothes basket and allows the basket to spin smoothly if an uneven load creates an out-of-balance situation. We also offer optional WASHER/DRYER ANTI-VIBRATION PADS WX17X10001CA. These pads help reduce washer noise and vibrations without scratching floors. Thanks for viewing GE! Keep in touch. Sue

            Worst washing machine ever!
Clothing, towels, sheets….all get bunched into a big ball. Very little water and my items don’t get clean! The tub bangs around hitting the sides of the machine and when the spin cycle starts, the load is off kilter. I end up having to move items around so the load can finish.

            Response from GE_Appliances Feb 7, 2022
Hello- We are very sorry to hear you are having this issue with your washer. We are happy to help! Tangled, twisted or knotted clothes are usually the result of wash loads that were not properly sorted. Here are some tips to help prevent clothing from knotting and twisting. ~Avoid mixing heavy items with light items. ~Avoid putting too many or too few items in the washer. ~Make sure you set the proper water level for the size load you are doing. ~Never wrap the clothes around the agitator. ~Be sure your wash water is not too hot for the fabric. If you continue to have issues, please reach out to GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737. Thank you! Joyce@GEA

This washer is very quiet, even on the spin cycle! I am very pleased with this purchase! The only down fall is that, I am really short, so I have to use a grabber to get my clothes out of the washer!

                Awful
We spent an arm and a leg on our new washer and dryer. My clothes were coming out of the washer dark and dingy. Huge spots of oil on them and grease. Turns out the gear box wasn’t sealed and leaked gear lube and oil all over my work clothes and dresses. Ruined hundreds of dollars of clothes. It leaves scum where the waterline is and doesn’t rinse the fabric softener off.

Frankly washer is not worth the price. This Washer does wash and clean clothes/items well, however the agitator is a bit harsh. The wash cycle is also a little too loud with the belt driven motor, and the spin cycle has a 50% chance of going out of balance. The spin cycle will auto-correct itself, however not before the drum hits the inside of the washer's walls a few times. Not acceptable for 2020 technology where an average consumer expects better. The step up model (84) is probably worth the extra money for the quiet wash and the direct driven motor. However, I don't think they figured out the spin cycle balancing act even on this higher end model yet. For these reasons the washer was returned for refund within the 30 days. Now I have to consider a front loader with its shortcomings or another top loader brand where the water levels suffer. The Midea company looks promising even though it is Chinese based; they are working on washers that can tilt at a 45 degree angle. Don't know how these will hit the market, but they may be worth a look/buy.

We've had the washer for almost a month now and so far so good. The only issues we've had has been when it gets out of balance but I think that is our rental house floor which changes if it rains outside or is dry. Cracked house foundation on red clay! We hope to move soon. It took us forever to balance it because the floors are so bad. Our lives have been hectic lately so we haven't deep dived into all it can do, we just briefly read the instructions and started using it. So for example, if the washer notifies you when it's out of detergent, I don't know, but I wish it would. It takes about 64 ounces I believe of detergent, but I don't think it notifies you when it runs out so I randomly just add detergent to the place that holds detergent. It is a beast of a machine, pretty deep. It's much larger than our last and at 5' 7" I have to stand on my tip toes to reach the bottom on small loads. It's fairly loud when it's sloshing around water, I think the cats are still trying to get used to it, but noise and washers aren't overly high priority for me since it's in the laundry room. I just want dependability and it looks like qualitywise this should fit the bill. My husband mentioned that it seems to knot up the clothes a lot more than our last machine but I think that's because the agitator arm is more powerful. As other reviewers have noted, machines with agitators tend to be more reliable. A good way to solve the problem is adding PJ bottoms or things with strings like work out short in lingerie washing bags, then everything doesn't get knotted. I don't think it uses "a ton" of water like other reviewers have complained, but then again I'm currently on well water. I'm basing my judgement on visual observation. It gets clothes wet enough and on some loads I select the deep fill if I don't think it has enough water. Some reviewers complained with other machines that clothes stayed dry almost to the rinse cycle because of the water saving features of today's machines. That is not a problem with this machine, everything gets sufficiently wet and soapy right from the start. I opted for the added insurance so we should be good hopefully!

                      Amazing Machine.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this machine. I am obsessed with the fact I can pause and open the lid during any point of my wash cycle. Major plus with 2 boys, and a baby girl who love their toys! This machine is quiet, efficient and a workhorse all in one. We own a gym so my husbands clothes were NOT getting cleaned properly in our previous machine. However after one wash in this machine his clothes were more soft and had completely lost and residual smell. This new smart washer machine has changed my life. Honestly, the app sends reminders and helps me stay on track with our busy life and busy family! I’m blown away how in one day I’m able to wash a super dense queen quilt, rugs, baby clothes, gym clothes, stinky cute little boy clothes and my delicates all in one machine! All heart eyes for this machine from me.

this is my first washer of the new sort, high efficiency. The pros are that it's quiet, well -made, easy to use and has interesting and useful features like the water spout and also if u need to fill more water than normal, just use the button. the ONLY thing about this so far, is that after 1 week, it still smells like a toxic plastic. are the materials inside doing this? evidently. smells like that bad plastic shower curtain or a toxic plastic toy. i spent a lot of $ on this, and it is quality! but why the toxic smell? it's an issue as my washer is in my house, in the kitchen. so if you have no qualms about breathing in toxic fumes, this may be the best washer out there. my old one was clunky, and simple, but it never smelled. quite an issue for me, as the smell gives me a low-grade headache. do i get rid of it? probably. looking for a neighbor with an old used one in good shape and i'll swap it if they can put up with the smell. recommend? no. lastly, can't a company take one home as 'research' and smell the thing? but if people don't complain...

                          Great washer
I absolutley love my new washer. Finally a washer that even though it's an HE it actually uses water!! And it has an Agitator. It has the option to detect how much water it needs per load but i can also add water so the clothes are completely covered . Also like the feature that you can add a bottle of detergent and it determines how much it needs. No need to add detergent every time you wash . Washed my comforter...came out clean . No fabric softener residue on any of my clothes. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it :)
