A: I can’t imagine what harm could come to the grates as they are cast iron. The griddle that shipped with mine was aluminum and had a non-stick surface and I would think the heat in a dishwasher would damage it. My dishwasher has a cycle with little or no heat but I still wouldn’t do the aluminum griddle. Good luck.
