Yes.

How noisy is the oven with the air convection?

Asked by: Cheryl
Cheryl, We use it all the time. In fact we rarely use the simple BAKE function. It's whisper quiet, I had to watch it to make sure it was spinning at all. It spins one way then the next. I guess to creating a hot wind current in there. Put in a whole chicken, potatoes, carrots and a couple onions cut in quarters plus you favorite spices. Press CONV ROAST, push START and watch what happens. . . Yum ;-)

5.3 cu. ft. Electric Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in Slate, Fingerprint Resistant is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 1573.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Functional We purchased our range about 6 weeks ago and so far we are not disappointed. I've never had a GE range or a convection range. I have been pleased with it so far. It is beautiful (we selected the charcoal stainless) and makes our kitchen look more modern and updated. It took me a little while to get used to the controls, but they are pretty intuitive. The back burners tend to cook hotter than the two front burners. I've tried using the oven on both the normal baking configuration and the convection baking. Both have performed well. Sometimes (depending on the food) I have to extend the timer when using the convection bake. The cooktop is relatively easy to clean with the provided Cerama Brite and nylon pad, but the downside of the dark stainless is that is shows EVERYTHING that gets on the cooktop during cooking. I have to use the Cerama Brite afterwards practically every time I use the range. The frequency you use it may depend on how OCD you are. :-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We have had our stove for about a month now.... We have had our stove for about a month now. I looked at tons of different ranges and read lots of reviews before deciding that this was the one. We wanted to spend around 600 (sale pricing), but decided it was worth it to extend the budget based on the garbage reviews I kept reading. This stove had great reviews, but did have a few negative ones. My biggest worry based on those, was keeping the glass top clean. We cook on this every day, and we don't mind small smudges or water spots, so we clean it about once a week. It takes about 10 minutes and a little muscle to rub out the smudges. We bought a cleaning kit that came with a scrubber, scraper, and cleaning product. Some other reviews claim that the fan during convection bake is too loud...they must have sensitive ears lol. We have a 1100 sqft home, and the fan is no where near annoying. The timer alarms are some what quiet but in our small house, this is actually a nice feature. In a big house I could see this being an issue. I gave it 4 stars, and would have given 4 and a half if it were an option, only because of the glass cook top cleaning chore. Overall, we are very happy with our range....so far.

My old stove kicked the bucket, so I needed a new one. The oven is well insulated. You can lean against the oven and not feel heat. No oven element in the middle is great. Well worth the extra 100 bucks as compared the the cheaper model version with an exposed element. Cook faster. I wasted a lot of time with my old stove waiting for pans to heat up. This heats up fast. Be careful, you might burn your food if you are used to watching tv while you cook. The knobs and oven interface are exactly what I wanted. I didn't want to waste time hitting and up button to set the oven temperature or timer. You can type in your desired settings straight away. The knobs are real knobs, not a button you have to push up or down to set stove temperatures. Also, knobs being at the rear makes it less likely a curious child can turn on the stove. Dual burner sizes are great. Warming burner is convenient. Clean your stove top after every use. You can burn on greese and it's a pain to take it off. Skip the pain and just clean often. Only con, I need to pull out a dinky plug in coil stove (like a travel one) to use my iron skillet. I'd be interested in a bumper to use my skillet on the normal stove.

I had a Maytag glass top electric stove for the last 16 years. The top was still shiny, clean and looked new after all that time. This GE stove was stained the first time I used it. I tried the cream they recommend to no avail. Worse yet, it was only water that had splashed onto the top. I've already gone through the small bottle of cream they give you and bought another one. It's extremely time consuming and has to be cleaned with cream EVERY SINGLE TIME you use it, and most of the time, the spots stay and can't be shined off. Extremely frustrating to say the least since this new stove looks badly used after only 2 weeks compared to 16 years of use on the old one I had. If you don't care how the top looks, the stove actually cooks well and the convection oven seems to bake evenly. GE really needs an improvement to the type of glass top. I'll never buy another one of their glass top electric stoves again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hopefully Reliable I choose a GE range because GE is reported to be a reliable brand, GE appliances are American made, and if necessary it is easy to find somebody to work on them. I choose the JB750SJSS because it has enough features to make it convenient but not too many bells & whistles which might make it prone to repair. I especially like the convection roast feature as well as the convection bake feature. I read a CNET review that this model makes the best roast chicken even compared to really expensive brands. I also especially like that the storage drawer is larger than the competitors, glides in and out very smoothly and is sturdy relative to other brands and today's standards. And this model has 3 cooking racks. All-in-all this JB750SJSS is handsome, appears to be soundly made, and has cooking abilities comparable to the much more expensive brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my range! I’ve been using my new range for a month now and love every minute! It makes great little sounds when turned on and off. it cooks at the correct temperature and I love the front window. I can see everything without opening the door with the heat on. I’m so glad I bought this. I still have more things to discover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good Works pretty well. The bottom drawer seems a bit flimsy and is small. The right back burner wouldn't boil a pot of water (with a top on) when set on high. but the front ones work ok
