Q:Does this stove require a special outlet?

Answer This Question

A:  Hello - This appliance must be supplied with the proper voltage and frequency, and connected to an individual, properly grounded, 40 amp (minimum) branch circuit protected by a circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. You would use only a 3-conductor or a 4-conductor UL-listed range cord. These cords may be provided with ring terminals on wire and a strain relief device. We recommend you have the electrical wiring and hookup of your range connected by a qualified electrician. After installation, have the electrician show you how to disconnect power from the range.       A:  Hi - With this range, you can choose to use steam clean or self-clean. Steam clean is for small messes and self-clean cleans those tougher messes! With steam clean you will pour one cup of water in the bottom of the oven, and press "Steam Clean", the unit will then run a 30-minute cycle. The self-clean cycle will use high temperatures and will lock the oven during the 3- or 5-hour cycle.           GE stove looks great but wont function. SUPER DISSAPOINTED
          Bought this product and it was delivered professionaly as expected. Looks great, however, it fails to work. The mother board is defective. The real problem is that GE has no service team to make repairs. They have cancelled 3-4 times to make the repair. We have have no oven for several weeks. Considering returning and ordering something else, but we are paired with a new GE Microwave (Profile) that works and functions great. Hate to make the choice for another brand for the stove , but GE service is non-existant.

            This range may not be a high dollar Cafe but it does all the extras as well looks luxurious at a way lower price!

                      A couple flaws in an otherwise good range
                      I love the convection oven which controls easily functions beautifully. The smooth cooktop has a nice variety of eyes but the controls need improvement. The knobs feel pleasantly chunky but I wish there were a separate switch to select the size of an element rather than a tiny portion of that eye's dial. The knob for a single element spins 360° just to control that one element whereas the triple burner divides the circle between three different burner sizes and the middle size section is well hidden by that chunky knob. This also reduces precision control. My other complaint is the lack of information visible at once. It seems one cannot view the time remaining while the oven is in use. I’m busy in the kitchen and do not care to pull out my phone and open the app to see how much time remains. What use is a hidden timer? I’ve started using the timer on my watch instead.

                        Modern, stylish and elegant design.
                        After using this product for a two year I can said that I m very satisfied with this product. Works perfectly and fast. I cook everyday and bake a lot and it does a great job.

                          GE Profile Range Review
                          Appears to be a really nice range, and I believe I'll grow to love it once I have worked my way through the complexities. There is a small issue with the positioning of the electrical cord on the back of the range which causes the range to be away from the wall a bit too much.

                            Hats off to GE. They are keeping up with the times. My wife can sit in her chair, use the app and either bake, fry, broil or convection. GE's Tech people are great also. Buy from them, you will be overjoyed.
