As indicated by GE, this will not work. We had Corian countertops with the same 21 x 29 cutout. I glued wood lattice strips using Gorilla Construction glue and then carefully drilled 3/4 in pilot holes and screwed them to the Corian using stainless steel 3/4 #6 scews. Mostly to hold until the glue dried. Cooktop fit perfectly with no wiggle room. GE does not have a filler trim ring for this model. The ones they list on their web site won't fit this cooktop.
Yes, I called GE yesterday. They actually said that they don't carry an adapter for this model.
Current countertop will be replaced by a granite countertop with the cutout according to the specifications stated for GE Profile 30 in. Specs for the current Jenn air are similar to the GE with the vent already in place. Are the downdraft components included in the price?
Use smooth pan bottoms. If your LeCreuset cookware are smooth and not damaged, they should be fine. Cast iron is NOT recommended - rough bottoms will scratch the stove. I also made certain all of my stainless steel pan's bottoms were spotless - otherwise, it will eventually come off on the stove when heated. Also, do not slide your pans on the glass top - this may scratch it. It is such an attractive stove top that you want it to look brand new all the time.
No, there are no vent/duct attachments or parts included.
Hello DON - this is Nancy at GE Appliances. We are sorry to hear that the burner is not working properly and that the burner on light just blinks. Please disconnect power to the range at the main power supply for a few minutes so as to reset the controls. Once power is restored, if the burner on light continues to blink, we recommend disconnecting power again until the unit can be serviced. We recommend contacting GE Factory Service at 1-800-432-2737 for assistance. Thanks for checking with us! I hope this helps!
Hello Super - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. This cooktop is designed to look best when centered in a cabinet at least 30” wide. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

And they do get plenty hot. And stay hot, like a regular electric stovetop. The indicator light will not go off until it is cool. It functions very well. Just like a regular electric stove top, you cannot tell if the burner is hot or not. Given it is a smooth glass surface, there is a temptation to put things on it like it is a table top. Please do not do that.
