The Garage Gator system is a fantastic way to store items that are not needed on a daily basis. I was able to place 7 units in my garage and empty a storage unit used to house seasonal decorations. The motorized system was easy to install. I am pleased that the platforms lower all the way to the ground. This eliminates the climbing on ladders while moving large boxes and storage bins. My garage has very high ceilings that limited the use of other stationary systems.
The Garage Gator beats the competitor in price and convenience.

Platform is constructed of very sturdy materials. Lots of bolts and nuts over 40 so takes a bit to assemble. Unit hung a bit to low for me, was 3 feet from the ceiling so I had to modify the cables. Other than that worked well.

Garage Gator Lift Platform

The product went together easy enough, but the slats were difficult to insert inside the frame. Further, the picture of the product on the box ahows a solid bottom, but there are not enough slets to make the bottom solid. Lastly, the slats are weak, even along the stiffener. Granted, the wench is not rated for more that a couple hundred pounds, but you could not sit something small and heavy on this platform without causing it the bend and possibly fail. A sheet of 3/8" plywood over the top of the slats is needed to distribute the load. By the time I goit the thing put together, I had no interest in taking it back apart, so I kept it and hoisted up the kids' battery powered riding toys. In the end, it is functioning for my purposes, but it has very limited uses and a few minor revisions to the design would make this a much better product. If I had it to do over, I would not buy this platform accessory.

Instructions are not the best & the holes don't line up very good. Product is strong & worth the money. I love that it's easy down & easy up when attached to powered hoist.
