Light —sturdy and right for the price.
Don’t let the price scare you because you’ll be getting a lot more for your money than you think. It’s light and sturdy and the three-step system is very safe. I’m 5‘8“ tall and I could easily reach a 9 foot ceiling for painting and cleaning my ceiling fans. The tray locks in nicely and can accommodate all kinds of tools and brushes for its size. You can also hang stuff off the sides if needed. I’ve always been skeptical about ladder products made in China, but this one definitely gets five stars for quality. You can’t miss on this one!

I purchased a similar step stool with a top tray years ago. Probably 10. I have kept an eye out for another one. This is the first one I've seen since, so I bought it. Seems very good. I only used it a few times. So far I'm happy with it. Time will tell.

This is a nice medium duty type II (225lbs) step stool. This is easy to carry for my wife when she needs to reach to top shelf in the cabinets. It folds flat and neatly stores in the panty for easy access. The project tray is a nice addition to hold paint when doing touch ups or cut ins and also for holding cleaning supplies for that deep spring and fall cleanings as well as some tools for DIY repairs.

The most important feature in a step stool that my wife will be using is that it be stable. This ladder fits the bill from its non slip and sturdy steps to its 27.5" wide legs. I can stand on the top step and not feel unbalanced. We have tall kitchen cabinets and this is just right for making them usable. When I get to use it, the generous sized project tray firmly locks into place (or quickly unlocks and folds out of the way) and is designed to hold paint, tools, etc. At 15 lbs it is still light enough to be portable while maintaining a feeling of stability. Amazing that a ladder this sturdy can be so THIN. At only 2.5" thick It slides into really small area in the kitchen. This is a major upgrade to our previous step stool.

A poor choice at half the cost! This Gorilla Ladders unit (model GLS-3TSMC-COM, designed in USA but Made in China) seemed like an idea stool for small repair jobs around the house. Unfortunately, the ladder I received is too wobbly to stand on with any confidence. The design is fine but the lack of quality control in manufacturing is apparent. Either one leg is 1.5” too short or, more likely, the hinge mechanism is twisted but either way it rocks when I stand on it one leg slides forward, shifting the entire unit. Then it wobbles when I shift my weight – the last thing you want to feel when working on a ladder. I appreciate the fold-up shelf for tool placement, but the hinge pin is extremely stiff and it's very difficult to operate the unlock mechanism. Even if the unit worked properly the price would be high for such a light-duty stool. I can't recommend this unit at all.

This small step stool/ladder is the perfect size for those small jobs that do not require lugging around a large ladder. The specification says the maximum reach is 8.75 feet. I would say that is pretty close. There is a shelf at the top that easily accommodates a paint can, so I can see this being an excellent tool when cutting in paint at the wall to ceiling joint. There is also room to store a variety of tools on the holes located in the top shelf. Although the ladder is lightweight you do not know that when sanding on it, it is very sturdy - not scary at all. I have been wanting one of these for a long time, now I see it is truly a great investment. I used to change the batteries in the hall clock as soon as I unpackaged it! Very well made and I am pleased, definitely recommend.

Very sturdy and accommodating; it’s a bit heavy, but that contributes to its capacity.

The height of the grab bar was what I was looking for but the ladder was too heavy for me to move around easily.so I returned it.
