About This Product
The HOME-FLEX Bonding Clamp is used to bond or ground CSST or rigid pipe. There should be a metal to metal contact. The attachment should be made downstream of the gas meter.
Highlights
- Use on ridged pipe or fitting portion of the CSST system
- Use in conjunction with a 6-Gauge wire minimum
- Fits 1/2 in. to 3/4 in. IPS pipe
- Never attach to CSST tubing. Connect to steel pipe or brass CSST fitting.
- Clamp is certified for direct burial in concrete. Screws are copper clad brass.
- Some areas of the United States do not allow installation of CSST for fuel gas piping systems, it is the installer's responsibility to check and understand all codes governing the location of installation prior to installing HOME-FLEX CSST. My first CSST fitting is outside the house. Can this clamp be installed outside? Does this clamp meet the UL 467 standard?

If I am connecting to existing black pipe, that is grounded, do I still need to ground? If so why?
Grounding is different bonding. Basically it's the same thing except that bonding terminates at the electrical panel grounding buss bar. 6 AWG grounding can I tie it to an existing electrical junction box ground rather than having to run it all the way to the breaker panel?
