Can these be used on an occupancy sensor

Asked by Drew July 8, 2019

Answer

Thank you for the inquiry. Occupancy sensor would be installed to the fixture not directly to the bulbs. It would control whether the fixture was on or off so the bulbs will work is there is voltage getting to the lamps when the sensor was triggered.

hi is this tube a dual-end or single end ?? thank you

Answer

Thank you for the inquiry. The lamp is plug & play in existing fluorescent fixture using a ballast. They are not typically described as dual end or single end as they are ballast compatible. The bypass versions are referred to as dual end or single ended.

Your description says this generates 100 LPW and consumes 13 Watts. Then it says this puts out 2...

Thank you for the inquiry. The marketing paragraph will be updated as this lamp produces over 153 LPW. The lamp is a 13W and produces 2000 lumens.

if the ballast is no good can I still use this T8 dimmable bulb in it without rewiring it

Asked by bob June 5, 2018

Answer

Thank you for the inquiry. This bulb is designed to work with the ballast. If the ballast fails, you would need to replace the ballast to continue to use this bulb. We do have a model below available that bypasses the ballast which can be used if you re-wire to remove the ballast: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Halco-Lighting-Technologies-32W-Equivalent-Warm-White-T8-Non-Dimmable-Light-Bulb-25-Pack-T8FR15-850-BYP2-LED-81885/304226454?keyword=304226454&semanticToken=20030+++%3E++++st%3A%7B304226454%7D%3Ast++cn%3A%7B0%3A0%7D++304226454+%7Bproductkey%7D

Can this bulb be used in the existing fixture that has a non LED florescent bulb G8 ?

Asked by CHILL May 5, 2018
1
Answer

Thank you for the inquiry. You indicated G8 which is a small JC type. Did you mean T8? If you mean does it work in a exiting fixture using non-LED fluorescent T8 bulbs then yes it installs directly without re-wiring into a 4' T8 fixture.

Response from Halco LightingNovember 28, 2018
Thank you for your feedback. Please confirm that you used a dimmable ballast as the lamp is dimmable with the correct ballast. Not all ballasts are dimming. Please see a list of recommended ballasts including those that have dimming function.
