      Blades are Plastic
      I just received my fan today. Opened the box and was greatly disappointed the blades were a flimsy plastic. Before I ordered it online, I looked at the description , no mention of the blades. Then I went to the "answer and question" section. Someone asked if the blades were metal and a person replied, yes the blades are metal. I'm debating on returning it after reading more reviews.

        This fan worked great for a bit, however, it stopped working. Looks like the fuse, but I cannot figure out which fuse to purchase to replace it. How can I find this as I don't see replacement parts on your webpage.

        Hi KC3884! Thank you for contacting the Holmes® Brand. We are sorry to hear that your fan suddenly stopped working. Clearly, this is not the situation that we want you to experience. Kindly allow us to help you in fixing your fan. We can advise that the needed fuse is a 5 amp 125 volt micro fuse, 3.6 mm x 10 mm in size. It is available online by searching "micro fuse". It can also be found at most home improvement stores in the lighting section, and some electronics stores. If the fan still not work, please directly contact Holmes®️, so that we can gather the details of your fan and check the warranty. Have a nice day!
          Where is the fuse for the cord?
          I assumed there would be one already in the cord and I would just have to replace it but there isn't nor is there one in the box anywhere.

          Hi Shellz24! Thank you for contacting Holmes. We understand that you wish to know how to change the fuse and the location of it, let us address this for you. Here are the steps how to replace the fuse 1. Unplug your fan. Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. 2. Open fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, by using your thumb or a flathead screwdriver to slide the cover down towards the prongs. 3. Place plug on a solid, flat surface. Insert new 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse into fuse compartment and use a small screwdriver to secure the metal ends of the fuse into the compartment. For further instruction on how to replace it, kindly check the user manual.             Remote control that came with fan didn't work
            The fan works well, however, I wish that Holmes could replace the remote that came with the fan because the fan is across the room and when I am in bed, I have to get out of bed to turn it off or put it on higher. Can Holmes please send me a new remote? i do love the fan.

              Terrible fan, broke putting together
              I didn’t read the terrible reviews until I broke the fan putting it together. The blades wouldn’t ‘slide on’ (or even be turned on) like the directions said. And the whole blade piece broke in half while assembling. I’m livid.

                Fan Blades Clicking
                Bought fan two days ago, the fan blades are hitting against the frame cover. Is there an adjustment or remedy for this?

                    Disappointed
                    Brought this fan almost a year ago and one night while I was sleeping it beeped and started oscillating.so I stopped it with the remote and a few min later it did the same thing so I unplugged it and tried it again. I changed the batteries a d still have the same problem. I no longer have the box and don't think I can return it. Very upsetting for the price I paid

                      Holmes 16" Oscillating 5 Blade Stand Fan
                      I received this as a birthday gift in March. Here I am 2 month later and it has finally fallen apart. First it was just that it couldn't be adjusted up and down. After that, the cage clips wouldn't stay closed so I had to tape them so the front wouldn't fall off. Finally, now the fan blade came off and on of the blades broke off. I can find parts for it or return it because I received it as a gift, I don't have a receipt. So here I am now in the heat of summer with no fan. I've been plagued with one problem after another. If a person could purchase replacement parts it might be worth the trouble but no such luck.

                        Not Great At All!!
                        I just bought this fan last week. Three days ago I opened and assembled. Plugged in the fan and nothing. The fan buzzes but doesn't spin blades. I tried giving it a spin thinking that would work but nope. To good to be true...
