    Q:I bought the fan in May 2021. A month or two ago, it stop hitting high speeds. The app and remote says it is at top speed but it is barely moving. I tried manually pulling cords, but they didn't do anything and didn't seem to work. Any help or suggestions

    A:  Since this fan does not normally include a remote it sounds like you have a 3rd party remote control add-on installed. For this scenario there are two possibilities, either the receiver module that communicates with the remote is defective or the capacitor module that is connected to the speed switch is defective. You can determine which is the problem by bypassing the receiver module and connecting the fan directly to the junction box so it can only be controlled with the pull chain. If the fan is still slow without the receiver module for the remote installed then you will need a replacement capacitor. If the fan works at full speed again then you will need to replace the receiver module for the remote.         A:  This is a pull chain operated ceiling fan, there is no included wall control or remote. To change the fan speeds and light you will need to use the chains coming from the fan. If you want to use a wall control or remote for this fan model, you will need to purchase a universal ceiling fan wall control or remote. There are a variety to choose from on The Home Depot website.

          Great patio fan
          This is what I've been looking for on my back patio. Some of the other fans I liked came with a remote and the only way to turn on the light or fan was through the remote. This one gives you the option of switch or remote operation (remote wasn't included). My fan is part of my patio lighting so switched operation of the light was a requirement for me. This fan looks great on our patio and was easy to install. When I 1st turned it on it wobbled a little bit. I tried to find the balancing instructions and they said to let it run and it would self balance. I was skeptical but sure enough, after a few minutes it was wobble free! I've had it installed for about a month and so far so good.

            Love the fan however the fan chain for one of them was missing. When I returned it and purchased another one the price had went up $40!

              Custom LED bulb will burn out regularly
              I received this unit with a DOA bulb in October 2019. Manufacturer sent me one free of charge. This one lasted about a year. They sent me another replacement in November 2020, and it burned out again early April 2021. Based on other reviews, I have a feeling this is a bigger problem than just with myself. Support told me that I should not use "wall dimmers with LEDs" -- as if none of them are compatible. However, you'll notice that almost all ceiling fans with LEDs are compatible with dimmers. There is nothing on the product listing or user manuals that explicitly recommends against this absurdly-common practice of using a wall dimmer. When functioning, the LED bulb works just fine with the dimmer, just for reference. I am not convinced there is any connection between the wall dimmer and the LED failing. Based on DOA, and one failure even without a dimmer, I am fairly certain this is just a trash product. The company that manufacturers it is based out of China, and simply provides customer service portals in a few countries. Do not be fooled by the looks and promise of wonderful high-CFM airflow... it's not worth the long-term hassle. In fact, I'd recommend going with a 'boring' ceiling fan with regular light sockets. You can easily install bulbs that can dim, or use smart bulbs. Way more flexible than any of these products that include proprietary LED modules that are not really user-serviceable.

                I love them but BEWARE of factory installed screws working loose.
                I purchased 2 of these for my patio in May 2018. They've worked beautifully and pushed a ton of air. They get a moderate amount of use and never at high speeds because they push a lot of air. 2+ years later we started noticing a scraping noise from one of them and then occasionally it would stop or now want to start without a push. You could hear the motor when you turned it on so we weren't sure what was up. We also noticed that there was an uneven gap between the outside of the motor assembly housing (below the part the fan blades slide into) and above switch housing. Knowing that at the height of our Arizona summer I did not want to be without and that any warranty service would want all or part of the fan returned, I purchased a duplicate. When I had it installed, the electrician noticed that 8 of 10 screws (2 for each blade) that attach the 5 fan blades to the motor were missing. These screws come installed by the factory and use a specific screw driver end to tighten them. When installing the 5 fan blades, you screw 3 regular screws to attach the fan blade to the bracket. Basically only 1 of the 5 blades was still attached correctly. The 2 screws were out of the other 4 brackets. There is something that attaches that bracket deeper inside the housing but it doesn't hold it tight so without the 2 screws factory install screws in place the bracket (with blade attached) floats freely and also causes the housing to drop down some. It was the fact one was still attached properly that was causing the uneven kilter to that housing and hence the scraping and stopping. In order to check these particular screws from time to time, you would need to disassemble the light kit and the switch canopy to be able to few inside the motor housing to check for these screws. IF YOU FIND screws on the ground anywhere around these fans, that's what they are from! I have included pictures below of everything I'm talking about.
