Downdraft works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to get this model due to the downdraft aspect and it works well with several speeds. The stove profile is also high end looking. The negatives are that the electric burner controls are easily turned on if someone leans against the front of the stove. The glass stove top is easily scratched.

Self-clean and leaves a damaged door
Purchased KitchenAid to replace old broken oven. Used regularly with little issues, besides 20 min preheat wait time, for 3 years. Decided to use self-cleaning feature and this happened, flaked off, burnt looking door. Contacted KitchenAid, this is considered cosmetic and not under the 30 day purchase so we would have to purchase a new door, plus labor for someone to come out. If you want to spend thousands of dollars to have your oven trashed, you choose. Personally, will not purchase KitchenAid ever again.

      Downdraft replacement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this four months ago when we remodeled our kitchen. It replaced a jennair downdraft. Generally like the cooking capabilities of the cooktop and the oven. We use it two to three times a day to cook meals. Love the look of the appliance. Gave it only four stars as keeping it clean is difficult. The control display is on the surface and gets everything on it when we cook. Concerned this will result in display failure at some point. The cook surface does not release spills easily and I must use cooktop cleaner (scrub type, not the spray type) at least twice a day. Reaching to clean the cooktop results in the display being activated. Additionally, the sides do not “lap” the counter left and right so it is easy for spills and crumbs to sneak into the small space between range and counter. Otw, really like the range.

        Horrible stainless steel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When our new, very expensive range showed up with a scratched top control panel, I thought it had to be from shipping/handling. However it turns out the stainless steel they use on the top panel is utter garbage. It scratches with just a touch and since you are always passing things over it, it looks awful. For the price of this range it should not scratch like that. I does bake well but the burners are hard to regulate temp, they get very hot and it burns unless you are very careful. I'm so sorry we didn't get the Jenn-Air.

          Beautiful and Reliable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this range about six month ago. It looks great and is easy to use. It bakes beautifully with reliably. The range and oven surfaces require quite a bit of effort to keep clean, but I love the functionality and looks of this oven.

Not the best if you have ever used JennAir
We bought this range to replace an old JennAir downdraft. It was our only option as we couldnt afford the expensive JennAir. Btw, we got this at a discount with a little scratch to the side, nothing that is visible when oven was installed, and has nothing to do with its functioning. As you can see the range is beautiful but quality is not the best. If you have ever used JennAir you will not like this Kitchenaid downdraft range. We bought this range on 2.28.2020 and I am giving this review on 7.23.2020, five months using it. I am giving it a 3star for its look, but quality is more important to me than looks. Quality wise I have few problems about this. Ventilation Chamber: The ventilation is not all that powerful compared to my 10+ year old JennAir, it doesn’t extract vapor/smoke well. I checked my outside wall cup per instruction for installation, Nothing happened. Most of the smoke/vapor go up so I bought a ductless range hood to supplement. The coat/paint used for the ventilation chamber is very poor quality. I use mild soap and paper towel to clean the chamber but as you can see from the pix I uploaded, the coat/paint is already peeling and chipping, Yes just 5months in use. Also the Vent grate is fading after few washes even though I wash it with soft sponge. Oven: takes a long time for it to heat up oven, about 15minutes, doesnt go below 170°. if you only bake cookies in your oven, then this range is good for you. It does not cook food evenly in the oven, I have tried cakes, banana bread etc. I read in the manual that the range need to be leveled to have the food cook well or evenly. Seriously, Kitchen Aid Engineers, who has a kitchen floor that is leveled? The JennAir i had before sat on the same floor and baked my food well. Convection broil doesn’t really convect, I see no difference between that and regular broil. The temperature is off, I always need to adjust it based on several trials to get the exact temp for my recipes. Aqua lift tech: I am not sure which engineer thought through this but the Aqua lift cleaning is a sham!!!! If you only bake cookies in your oven then this will probably work. I broil meat and poultry, bake breads and pastries and the aqualift cleaning does not take any residue out. May work for the bottom but you will need to really scrub the inside walls of the oven with something else. They don’t recommend oven cleaners so I am not sure what will help. Cook top: The cook top is pretty hard to clean but over time i have managed to find the best technique and products that work for me. Cerama Bryte Oventop cleaner is the best! I have tried many cook top cleaners including the recommended Afresh brand. Cerama works better! I must say that every and any residue on the cook top can come out using a scraper. Its easier if the cook top is a little damp/wet. But you will need "ARM AND HAMMER"(literally) if you want a shine look. The control board is very sensitive to any touch. I have had a bit of tomato paste splatter on it and the buttons go off. One time a splatter of sauce got on the “off” feature of the downdraft fan control buttons and the fan went off. Yes that is how sensitive it is. This range is not worth over $3000. No way. If I had to do it again I will buy JennAir, if they had not compromised their quality too. Who knows? It’s the same company. If you are looking for a nice range then yes, but if you are looking for quality, do not get this range. KITCHENAID CUSTOMER SUPPORT, PLEASE DONT RESPOND AND ASK ME TO CALL YOU, I WILL NOT, THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO FOR ME!!!!!!

                  Something unexplainable
I bought this stove 2 years ago today I was cleaning underneath it through front and this is what I found !!!! Would like to know if anyone else has had the same problem with the exhaust

                    Over priced
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Biggest problem with this range is the oven takes forever to preheat! About 17 minutes to reach 400!! The oven does bake more evenly than the one it replaced but not worth the wait in my opinion. Burners are fine. The down draft doesn’t work great, it pulls a lot of air but that mostly all it is the smoke and steam still go up.
