The information printed is incorrect. It has 4 induction burners and one radiant heat warming element. I love the range!
Probably not. For new construction the NEC - National Electric Code - requires that only 4-prong cords be used on these heavy appliances; 240v electric dryer also fall under this category. For straight replacement in existing dwellings, either 3-prong or 4-prong is acceptable. As for 40A vs 50A, if your existing range worked well with 40A then continue to use it. Under extreme conditions, if all burners were operating simultaneously on HIGH and the oven was also simultaneously operating on HIGH with both the broiler and baking element fully energized, theoretically you could overload the circuit and trip the breaker. If I were wiring a new house I would recommend the 50A/2P circuit because the additional wire cost is not substantial. However, unless you encounter problems I would stick with the 40A/2P existing circuit.
You are correct, there are errors in the Home Depot description of this range. Surprisingly, there are errors in LG’s own manual that comes with this range. Let me clear this confusion up since I, too, posed this question to HD and was given the incorrect information. I own this range. There are 4 induction elements and 1 warming burner located in the back right corner of the cook top. It is an excellent range and I am thrilled to own it.
it is a vent for the oven.
yes it does, i have several cast iron pans
This range is FREE STANDING. It is not a SLIDE IN. Home Depot’s description is wrong and should be corrected.
I own this exact range. HD website is wrong. This range has 4 induction elements and 1 radiant warming burner. Buy it and you will love it. I do!
yes you do. Some will say they are made for induction, and will be costly. but if your on a budget- there are many options I found at local stores that do not say on the label, if you bring along a magnet you can check if pans will work, if the pan is magnetic it will work on induction top. cast iron also works. I found some stainless steel does while others don't.
