Divide and Conquer. This LG washer is twin wash compatible, which means you can add the ingenious LG Sidekick pedestal washer to tackle two loads of laundry-both large and small-all at the same time. Now you can divide and conquer your laundry and whatever messy moment's life throws at you.
  • Contoured front earns high marks for style but is actually the result of careful engineering to make laundry day less of a workout; the drum is elevated and angled by an extra 10° tilt; additionally the door opening is angled to match for easier access; overall this may not sound like a big difference, but each time you reach for that last sock and move loads from the washer to the dryer to your basket you will be happy LG took the extra step
  • LED display indicators and intuitive dial-a-cycle controls help you find the right setting every time
  • Soccer practice; groceries; dinner; dishes; shouldn't your laundry move as fast as you; now it can, with LG's enhanced TurboWash technology; powerful high-pressure nozzles save up to 30 minutes per load - without shortcutting cleaning performance, even on larger loads; innovation that keeps up with your family calendar? That's not just laundry done fast - it's laundry at the speed of life
  • When it comes to laundry capacity, big is good, bigger is better, but biggest is best; with the largest capacity washer in its class, now you can wash a king size comforter and full set of bedding in a single load; at 5.8 cu. ft. of mega capacity, you'll definitely have more room to clean
  • Steam technology gently but powerfully penetrates fabrics to virtually eliminate dirt, odors and wrinkles
  • Detergent tray has a full-width lid on top that preserves the washer's elegant lines when closed, but easily slides back to offer access to the four-tray dispenser
  • LG confidently backs the direct drive motor with a 10-year limited warranty
  • Recognized as the most efficient of ENERGY STAR, this washer helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by meeting rigorous energy efficiency performance levels set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
  • Monitor your laundry remotely with an ingenious smartphone app that can stop or check the status of your running wash anytime, anywhere
  • NFC tag-on technology lets you download new cycles directly from your smartphone, from one-touch cycle options that help you choose the right setting to instant solutions to your troubleshooting questions
  • Based on the cycle you select, LG 6Motion technology uses up to 6 different wash motions, each designed to get clothes cleaner and help them last longer; options range from a scrubbing PowerMotion that helps to dissolve stains to the gentle Swinging motion that's ideal for delicates
  • Allergiene cycle uses the power of steam to gently remove over 95% of pet dander allergens from even the most delicate fabrics
  • Smart Diagnosis feature helps the service center diagnose problems over the phone or with a simple app on your smart phone, helping you minimize costly, inconvenient service calls
  • Saving energy doesn't have to mean compromising on cleaning with the ColdWash option; powered by the LG Direct Drive Motor and 6Motion technology, it's ideal for cleaning all types of clothes - even those you normally wash in warm water; can be used with almost any wash cycle and virtually all fabric types
  • TrueBalance anti-vibration system is designed to reduce washer noise and vibration for smooth, quiet performance in any room of the house - even if it's on another floor
  • Super clean cycle heats water up to 158°F to remove the toughest stains
  • Extra wide door opening (15% larger than typical openings) means this washer is easier to load and unload
  • Capacity to wash as many items of clothing as the tub allows; as long as the lid shuts and locks, it will wash. All compatible LG washers, dryer, SideKick pedestal washers, and laundry pedestals sold separately
  • Monitor your laundry remotely conveniently from your smartphone; with SmartThinQ you can receive notifications when the detergent tank is empty, download specialized wash cycles, track the amount of water and electricity used and stop or check the status of your wash anytime, anywhere

Do Not Buy (Design Defect on Door)
We just spent $5,000 on a new LG Signiture W/D pair. When it was delivered

    Very disappointed
I purchased this washer based on the fact it could handle a king sized comforter and king sheet set in a single load. Instead of a comforter we use two thin cotton blankets (think hospital type). After about 7 washes holes began to appear in my blankets! Clothes loads did not have damage. I believe the washer was working as it was supposed to. We returned the units (and with a slightly smaller set, we saved A LOT of money) Size difference maybe equal to the size of our espresso machine...I would not recommend these machines to anyone.

Dec 2019 - DO NOT PURCHASE LG WASHING MACHINES !! My unit delivered April 2019. Was pleased with its features and performance. Nov 2019 the unit completely died (no controls display or responsiveness). After a few rounds with the LG repair request team via the LG Website my ticket was dispatched to a local, 3rd-party service provider. The onsite technician diagnosed a dead main printed circuit board. This is basically a single board computer plus servo motor control for the main drum motor (fat heat sinks and the PCB in a clear potting to protect against the high moisture environment near a laundry machine). Photo attached to this review shows the PCB (red outline) before laying on the cabinet top to await parts. It is supposed to show a liveness LED blinky light on the board. Nope. Tech said 3-5 business days to get a part then re-schedule an onsite. 9 business days later I get an update from the local provider that the replacement part is on backorder everywhere in the US with no ETA from LG for re-stock in the US. This unit now a $2400 pile of scrap. Worse, since the unit is still under the LG 1-yr parts and labor OEM warrantee, it is not clear if the supplemental Assurian protection plan I purchased from Home Depot with this unit will cover this for like-kind replacement or refund as long as LG stalls on the repair parts but could in theory eventually supply the part, that is, the Assuran plan is silent on the case of an OEM's non-performance on its warrentee or stalling on repair. How long is not acceptable? Now the laundry piles up and I have to find laundromats and how long to wait before deciding to toss this unit and purchase a different brand? In summary, a fair value then completely negated by the risk you take with LG repair service.

I’ve been using this machine for about three months, putting it through different cycles, and spending a lot of time checking it out. First the positive aspects, which I’m afraid are minimal. Washing: The way this machine spins the drum is nothing short of amazing. I never in my life considered the different ways possible. It tosses the clothes left then right, then it turns slightly one direction then switches to a continuous tumble in the other direction. Then it will switch directions, starting in the other direction then switching to a continuous tumble the other way. Kind of like starting a jump rope. Amazing. Rinse and spin: When finding a spin solution, this machine will slowly come up to speed which allows the clothes to distribute evenly around the drum, then if the load is out of balance it will slow just enough so the clothes start to lose centrifugal force and leave the top of the drum. Then it will speed up again and see if the newly distributed load is balanced enough to spin. It will repeat this process over and over till it reaches a solution and can spin the clothes dry with minimal vibration. A real time saver, and very smart. Now the things I don’t like about this machine: Absolutely number one, the light. The only option is to turn the light on for about three minutes and then it shuts off, then you must hold the second rinse button again for several seconds to turn it back on. A nuisance. If the machine is on then the drum light should be on. I want to be able to look into the laundry room and see whats going on in there. The button should simply turn the light on and off. The soap dispenser creates a mountain of suds when filling the machine. The water entering the soap dispenser is too aggressive. I usually put my soap in the prewash section because it all go’s to the same place anyway, just a little more calmly in the prewash dispenser. When the water is entering the bleach dispenser during the rinse cycle, water is also entering the prewash and main wash dispensers as well. This happens in other cycles too, it just seems a little wacky. There is a cycle called turbo wash. It pulls water from the bottom of the tub and pumps it through two spray heads, spraying water over the clothes so they get wetter sooner. This works good with small loads. But with larger loads the clothes absorb much of the water so the pump loses prime, because there’s not enough water in the tub. Why does the tub fill so slowly. The ingoing water go’s on and off and on and off. Why doesn’t the water simply come on and not go off till the tub is at the proper level? Not well thought out. I received an email from LG stating that I hadn’t done a tub clean cycle in over 90 loads. It’s a little weird that someone else is keeping track of my wash cycles. Trading privacy for convenience. And finally about this tub clean cycle. The first 18 minutes it was acting like it was simply washing clothes. Then it filled with more water and really started turning the drum at a pretty good pace. This lasted till it indicated that it was in the rinse cycle, then it was acting like it was rinsing clothes again. Then it filled again and started turning the drum and water was again flying everywhere inside. Then it went into the spin cycle and spun the empty drum for twelve minutes, why? It seems to me that nearly an hour could be deleted from this tub clean cycle by just eliminating the action that does nothing to clean the tub.The machine was warm after this tub clean and smelled like a burning transformer. Who writes the cycle programs for these machines? Somebody weird I bet ya. But I still like this machine.

My first LG washer and dryer. Very large washer but yet very quiet and smooth. Spinning at the max RPM, vibration is almost not existent. In terms of durability, time will tell. My top of the line and top rated Electrolux washer leaked water and died only after 2-3 years due to belt slip, failure bearing and etc. Hope this LG will last longer. Fingers crossed. So far so good.

Wonderful new way to do laundry with no loud noise
We ordered the set without seeing the machines in person. We had to wait a while to receive them but have been very pleased with their service. The installer had the hot and cold water switched and I called LG and they sent a tech out (very nice and knew what he was doing) and I have been very pleased with all four new pieces.

                  Mega Capacity Washer
I bought this almost two months ago. My old washer was a different brand and was several years old with 3 repairs so I changed brands and went to the LG. I am so happy with this washing machine. It has a very large stainless steel drum and is easy to use and I have used most of the different settings and am very happy with the washer and its features!
